TAGS: , ,

We previously discussed the benefits of group dating. Now that we know the benefits of going out with other couples, let’s discuss a few great activities for your next group date. Here are 20 great group date ideas:

  1. The movies. For added fun, check to see if there’s an outdoor or drive-in movie theater in your area.
  2. Bowling
  3. Roller skating/ice skating
  4. Miniature golfing
  5. Go for a walk on the beach or boardwalk
  6. Skiing/sledding
  7. Amusement park or county fair
  8. Local festivals
  9. Laser Tag
  10. Sports park (go-karts and batting cages can be so much fun!)
  11. Picnic in the park
  12. Hiking
  13. Sports games. Are you ready for some football (or baseball, basketball or hockey)?
  14. Snowball fight with some hot cocoa afterwards!
  15. Pool party!
  16. Take an arts and crafts class as a group (or another fun low-cost class)
  17. Sightseeing
  18. The zoo or aquarium (These two places can be tons of fun and they’re not just for small kids either!)
  19. Concerts, plays or other live performances
  20. Grab a camera and find a place to do a photo shoot. You’ll love the keepsake later! Finish the date off with some ice cream or other dessert.

Has anyone tried any of these places for a double or group date? What were your experiences? Also, do you have any additional activities to add to this list?

  4. Paris

Love this! Another good idea would be a group talk at a resturant. One question,is it okay to hold hands and kiss each other on a group date?

Opinion: it seems right at the time, but if you have ever been on the other side it’s awkward and feels like your shutting the other poepl out…. It’s not the best way to show Gods love, but it’s ok once in awhile. (agin totally just my opinion)

  5. great ideas! Loved Nicole’s note at the end too :) Some great ones my date ‘group’ has done is ice skating, a corn maze, downhill skiing, and museums…all give oportunities for the group to break off and go have a little ‘alone’ conversation time, but still be in a safe environment and have fun with the group too. I’ve tried so many new adventures this way :) also, be sure to dig for discounts on things that cost money, like movies- it can get expensive otherwise.

  6. I’ve never dated before. I feel like everyone else is…

    • Don’t do it ‘just because’…if you met a really wonderful, special, God-devoted person, that’s different, but until then, don’t ever feel pressured :)

Aww Emily, don’t worry. Neither have I (really) but y’know- that’s alright. It used to bug me really badly, but now I believe that it might even be a bit better for you in the future if you haven’t. Besides, the point of dating is to find the man you might one day marry. I don’t think that if you are unable see yourself married within a year you are dating for the right purpose. Just be friends with the opposite gender for now. Keep your eyes open. One day you might stumble across Mr. Wonderful. But don’t feel pressured to date. Use this time to get to know God really well. Learn to love him, and that love will be spilling over when God shows you the right guy.

I love this!! Sledding and skiing should be fun for the winter :D

  8. laser tag is my favorite. i like ice skating to.great suggstions!

  9. I love the ideas, and I love how you added some things to do while in a small town with limited money.

  10. There are so many things you can do! I didn’t realize all the possibilites! Even though I have never dated a guy, and don’t plan to until God tells me to, I can still use these in the future! Thanks! I would do these with my friends, but I don’t see two of them often (since we go to different schools now), and I don’t think they’re good examples of Christ, even though they’re Christians, and I am close with my best friend, and she is not a Christian, but I believe she’s better than the other girls…

  11. Love it! My bf and I have fun together, but hanging out with some friends everyonce in a while might be really fun. Plus, i love your website!

  12. Great ideas! :) Thanks so much :)

Great article :) My long-distant boyfriend of 2 years is coming to visit me along with his family. We have already planned on going laser tagging together (his family will be joining us as well), and we will probably go out to eat and to the beach!

  17. Exlon

Love the laser tag idea. x3 It’s one of those games I’ve only played once, and have always wished I was good at. :P I should get rich and have my own laser tag section in the house. ;)

I happen to work in a bowling alley, and I believe that it would be a great place for a group date! I’ve never dated before, though, so I can’t confirm this…but bowling or the drive in would be awesome, since they happen to be my two favorite things to do :D

  21. Project Inspired Member

I don’t date, but a rule in my family is that when I turn 16 (in like 20 Days), the guy can come over for dinner with the family(:
I think this is a better way to go because my Dad is intimidating! xD The guy has to show some guts! :D

I know that a lot of people think dating is to find the man you will later marry, but I still think that it’s okay to date and have boyfriends while you’re young. I think that high school is the time to find out the qualities that you do and don’t like in a guy, so that when you start dating seriously later on in life, you know what you’re looking for.
