PI Poll: What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

Girls, with God’s will and help, you can do anything!

I was curious about what PI readers want to do in the future. I asked the Project Inspired Facebook fans what their dream careers were and was blown away by all the different, wonderful answers!

Karen Lopez said:

I want to go to Georgetown and study politics! First become a political scientist, then a state senator, and finally, in the year 2032, I want to be the first female Hispanic president of the USA! Remember vote for me! ;)

Jessica Jensen said:

I’m studying English in college and will hopefully be an English teacher in Third World countries

Megan Ormsby said:

I want to be a marine biologist :) I would study marine biology and probably minor in some kind of environmental class. For a backup if that doesn’t work out, I would probably be a photographer or meteorologist. But being a mom sounds pretty cool too :)

Alyssa O’Keefe said:

Therapeutic riding instructor. My sister and I want to start our own barn together. We want to make it a mission field for our clients and their families. We are currently studying equine science and therapeutic riding instructing at The University of Connecticut.

Be a pro singer, it’s my passion and is in my heart. I love to sing. I want this as my career and I will make it my career.

I am wanting to do inner city missions. Preferably with youth and young mothers.

I have been called by God to become a dentist and a missionary! :) My goal is to go to a Christian college and major in Bible or chemical engineering and have a double minor in pre-dental hygiene and pre-dentistry! I’m so excited for the blessings God has in store for me! :)

I plan on working at NASA and majoring in astronomy or engineering. Space is my passion :D I feel like God has called me here.

I want to be a meteorologist in the Air Force. I have also thought about being a general or Nurse Practitioner, but I think if I don’t become a meteorologist I will regret it. Ironically, National Weather Person’s Day is on my birthday! It must be God’s way of saying, “Yup. That’s what your gonna do when you get older!”

I want to teach:) Specifically elementary educational math or high school chemistry. My other dream job is to go into the music field. I’m involved in music ministry and I love it! Being able to serve God and do what I love at the same time would be amazing.

    I will major in Elementary Education. I was going to major in Music but I can’t write songs, and that’s one of the things they want you to do in your senior year. Maybe I can anyway.

    I know I want to do something with public speaking; I’ve been told that’s my gift. Lord willing, I’m going to study media, culture and the arts at Kings College in NYC and go into marketing, public relations, or be a spokesperson for a non-profit.:) However, my mom, debate partner, debate partner’s mom, and all my friends think I ought to go to law school and be a lawyer; so I’m thinking that might be destiny calling, so to speak! Whatever I do, though, I want to continue writing. (:

      Public speaking has to be the extracurricular subject at school that has the smartest kids, because these students want to learn more about the world around them. I think that God can use public speakers in major ways and it will be interesting to see how He uses your love of public speaking. :)

    So, so many things…. I want to be a special education teacher. And an artist. And a veterinary assistant. And a missionary. I want to be sooo many things… luckily, I’m only 14 years old, so I have time to figure it out. I know God will point me in the right direction when I get older. :)

    I always had wanted to be a marine biologist but the older I get the more impractical that seems. Im not sure though, its always been a passion of mine the ocean and animals that live there. But recently Ive been considering teaching in third world countries. I would really like to do missions work. But Im waiting to see what God has called me for!

    I plan on being both a successful wedding planner and marriage counselor. I want every couple I “serve” to understand that when they say their wedding vows they are making a promise to their future spouse and to God that they will never walk out on each other no matter how hard things get. Marriage is to be taken very seriously, and requires effort on both ends. I want to show couples that it is possible to stay with one person for the rest of their life and by doing that they are glorifying God <3

    My dream is to do missionary work, or sing professionally. Maybe I’d get the chance to do them both, together? I am still waiting for God to tell me what to do. Whatever is, I want to do it!

    I think I want to go into music therapy :) I love music and just really want to help people. I would ultimately love to work with children but I trust that God has an amazing plan for me, whatever it is.

    I wanted to do marine biology or CSI work, but I’m not very good at science, so I want to be an interpreter. :)

    I believe that God has called me to Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho to double major in youth ministry and pre-medical. I will be using both of these talents and passions in the missions field in places like Africa, China, and third world countries. But overall my greatest ambition is to serve God to the best of my abilities and be the best mom that I can be.

    I want to go into acting one way or another- as an actress, makeup artist, casting director, playwright… and then when I’m about in my thirties or forties I’ll retire and become a high school drama teacher, but I’ll continue to write plays as a side.

    I want to go to University of Phoenix, or Cottey College for Girls. I want to work with children that have Autism or other disabilities. My cousin has autism, so it is a cause close to my heart. And I also want to be an author. It is what I enjoy doing, and would love to do it on the side. I dont care about making money off of it. I just want to be able to use my talent to entertain and spread the word of God through stories that people can understand.

    God alwyas burdened me to be a missionary! I hope I can do that by being a godly actress someday! Otherwise, I always wanted to be writer!

    I hope to be a forensic scientist, preferably working in trace evidence. I would also like to write in secret, as I’ve found over the past two years or so that writing calms me in a way that nothing else can. I’ll continue to pray about it, of course, but I believe that God wants me to write for Him.

    I want to be a youth pastor. Even my pastor thinks I’d be a great one. He said I just might change his mind on woman pastors.

    There are so many things. So I’m not gonna worry about then, but now, work on building my skills and sharing Gods word to the people around me. (We are already field missionaries)So I think I’m right where I’m supposed to be for the right now. But something I’d really love to do is be a photographer, to feed my creative side. :D

    I always wanted to be a covert agent for the government..and go undercover and such. My job test at school even told me i should..butttt i dont know how practical that is..
    So, i really want to be an event planner, for weddings, major parties, etc. I love doing that type of stuff!

    I think I’ll be a counselor of some sort, and help teens with there relationship with Jesus and others. I want to publish books, blog and make videos that will help them grow. I love to sing too, so maybe I’ll be a worship leader too :)

    I am thinking of majoring in Law ( I don’t come from the USA!) and also to major in English or Politics, and then take minors in Chinese and Spanish:) Then I hope to work for the government somehow and maybe become an ambassador( well everyone says I should, maybe God is directing me in that path). But I am also interested in acting, singing, writing plays and getting involved with the media. Confusing!

    I will be a professional chef! Cooking is my passion and I when I grow up I want to share it with people. God gave me this talent i’m going to use for the good. I’m already thinking of a name for my restaurant, “The Singing Chef” Since I also love singing

    I’m a missionary now and forever! There is nothing better than sharing Jesus. :) I want to build churches, hospitals, basically safe houses all over the world. Mostly Africa, India, and Asia. I want to work against human trafficking and child soldiers. Against hunger and homelessness. I want to go wherever God wants me! And right now, that means my high school. ;)

    dreaming of something in the department of law. I only have two years left of highschool so I need to make up my mind haha.
    Either that, or theater or film making :P Two totally different things but both of which im passionate about

    I want to be a theater teacher for high school and smuggle bibles into countries that banned them. It breaks my heart people don’t know about Jesus just because they are told they are not allowed to have that information. I would also like to work in youth ministry

    I want to be a pediatrician and a missionary! Also, my passion is helping children with special needs! I plan on adopting at least two children from Third world countries and possibly a foster mother! I also think I’m talented at writing and i would love to write young adult novels :)

    I want to be a Registered Traveling Nurse. I love biology and also foreign languages. I am currently studying Russian and a bit of Hebrew and a missionary :)

    it would be hard but….i want to open a christian theater company who will put on God pleasing plays and some in between meant to help people understand christianity. some of the profit made from plays could go to helping charitis and such aswell.

    When I was younger, and my two best friends were going to be veterinarian’s together. Now they’ve decided to do something else. I still really want to be a veterinarian, but I’m not sure if that’s what God has in store for me. So i’m just continue doing good in school and loving God, and hopefully He’ll reveal his amazing plans for me! :)

    First and foremost, I want to be a mom. I’ve always been fascinated by the intense love parents have for their children, and I want to experience that love from the other side of it. :)

    Aside from that, I have several things I want to do, but the one that’s sticking out the most to me is becoming an English teacher in Japan.
