Quiz: Is Inner or Outer Beauty More Important to You?
posted on June 11, 2012 at 5:13 am
Society is so preoccupied with outer beauty that it’s easy to forget about one’s inner person. But it’s important to make sure that you radiate beauty from the inside out–remember, God is more concerned with who we are on the inside!
If you demonstrate inner beauty then your beauty will automatically radiate and EVERYONE will see it.
Consider this: who’s more attractive to you–a really mean pretty girl, or the average girl who radiates sunshine and happiness everywhere that she goes?
With that said, it’s time to see where your priorities are right now. Take this yes/no quiz to find out if inner or outer beauty is more important to you!
QUIZ
- Do you spend a lot of time obsessing about the latest trends in Hollywood?
- Are you embarrassed if you don’t have the newest fashions as soon as they arrive in stores?
- Do you spend more time on hair, makeup, and clothes than you do on reading the Bible, doing homework, and participating in other activities?
- Do you feel inadequate when you’re around other girls you think are really pretty?
- Do you feel that you have to wear makeup every day in order to be attractive?
- Do you dress a certain way to get boys to notice you or your friends to hang out with you?
- Do you believe only people who look a certain way will ever be successful in life?
- Are you embarrassed to hang out with people who aren’t as attractive as you are?
- Are you constantly dieting, even though your family and friends assure you that you look great?
- Do you call people names because of how they look?
RESULTS
8-10 “No” responses:
Congratulations! You understand that true beauty is reflected by who you are on the inside, not what you look like on the outside. Yes, as a co-heir to God’s Kingdom, you recognize the importance of always looking presentable, but you‘re good at achieving balance. You embrace your outer appearance because you know God wants you to look EXACTLY as you do, but you focus on being a shining light. You should be applauded!
5-7 “No” responses:
You know that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty, but sometimes the societal pressure is a little overwhelming. Always remember that God knew how you’d look before you were in your mother’s womb, so all of creation is beautiful to Him. Yes, it’s okay to want to look nice, but your appearance should not be your priority. TRUE beauty is defined by how you act and how you treat others, not your physical features.
4 or fewer “No” responses:
Sometimes you forget that TRUE beauty comes from the inside. God looks at your heart, not your outward appearance. You might want to spend a little more time nurturing your inner person and you’ll surprised at how much more confident and beautiful you become!
Remember, this quiz is just for fun and isn’t a scientific poll. Rely on the Holy Spirit to help you find your inner beauty!

Inner beauty is WAY more important than outer beauty to me. God made me beautiful, and I know that, so I don’t stress on trying to improve His creation. There’s a difference between being hygenic and trying looking your best and the idea of being consumed with how you look. Always being consumed with how you look, always trying to make yourself look perfect and going to all extents to do so is like telling God his creation isn’t good enough, that we have to take it upon ourselves to try and make it better. We don’t need the world’s approval, we only need God’s.
Yeah until you get rejected by guys.
If you get rejected by guys based on your looks, they are NOT worth your time.
I agree with maracta! If the guy doesnt like you because of how you look, he doesnt deserve you!
I did good, although there are girls that I think are preitter than me,but I’m working on it.
Wonderful quiz. Judging by my answers, I believe that inner beauty is what truly shines. I am completely makeup-free.
To be honest BOTH! I struggle with my outer appearance sometimes. I don’t know! That’s something I need help with…I don’t have confidence and I know I don’t.
This quiz remindes me alot of the girls in high school, and my friends they focus so much on there looks its sad. most of them wont even leave the house without makeup or there hair done
i say inner beauty because u could be realy ugly on the outside but on the inside be the best person ever:)
i love it inner totally
I know inner beauty is important, and I have good self-confidence about the way I look, but I feel like looking good is just something that I just HAVE to do. Nice outer appearance is a good thing to have so that you don’t put people off. Plus, if you take good care of yourself like maintaining a healthy weight, having clear skin, and taking care of your hair, you want that extra effort to show!
your right. that’s what i belive too.
I got 9/10 lol but I want to be a fashion designer/stylist when I get older. I have to draw a design or combine one outfit a day or I’ll go cray cray. But God is much more important so I put my time with Him before ANYTHING.
And, no matter how a person looks on the outside, a nice and good person is ALWAYS prettier than a mean and spiteful person.
yes yes YES i have so many friends like that but i’m trying to get them to come to our church. pray for them, please! <3
Why do you even care about outer beauty? All beuty is covert ops and in the inside.
9 out of 10 no! pretty good
I definately value inner beauty over outer beauty! I have a few friends who are very “pretty” (although I’ve seen them do their makeup and they put on soo much and it takes them forever), but they make fun of how others look so that they can feel better about themselves. It’s really sad
i was 5-7 “no”s and it was right… i guess i need to work on that..
The first time I took this test I got 7/10 no responses. Today I took it again and got 9/10! I’ll work some more and maybe I’ll get 10/10 soon!
i think inner and outer beauty are important the same
I think it is hardest because people overlook you if you aren’t pretty enough, or funny enough, or even just enjoyable to be around.
