Hi PI Girls! I’m always looking for cute fashion trends, but often the trends for teenage girls tend toward the more “sexy” look…tighter jeans, off-the-shoulder shirts that expose your bra straps, cleavage….

You don’t have to go that route to stand out and you know it! Here are super cute ideas for a great, classy look that won’t compromise your morals!

The first “Look”: Cute Headbands and Hair Accessories

These cute hair accessories can make an outfit complete! If you’re having a bad hair day, put your hair in a bun or twist and simply add an accessory! Voila! You have a beautiful touch for a beautiful you!! Go to Claire’s for more ideas and affordable buys!

The second “Look”:  Boots & Scarfs

Get a great fall look with some cute boots – either tall or short. Forever 21 and Target tend to sell really cute shoes and boots for a reasonable price.

The third “Look”: Dark Nail Polish & Cute Sparkly Jewelry

If you feel like you need to add a little something to your look, its simple – a new trend is dark nail polish. Try painting your nails dark purple, plum, chocolate brown or maroon. Red is also very popular going into the holiday season. You’d be surprised how many great colors you can find at your local CVS, Target or other drugstore. One tip: make sure you keep updating the top coat so you don’t have chipped polish! :)

    I didn’t know Forever 21 was a christian store! I’d rather spend my money there than some place like hollister!

      Yeah, if you have seen on the bottom of the yellow bag they give you, it says “John 3:16″

      Hollister is so expenxive!!! Plus all their clothes are meant to fit one body type. I haven’t found a single pair of jeans that fit me in there.

      Forever 21 is not really a chrisrian store for christians, but they have nice stuff that christians could wear.

      Hollister makes me sick just to walk by the store. i always get this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach and I always have to turn my head to escape the huge near-pornographic posters.

      Indeed. Hollister is also over-priced. I tried to go in there once to buy a scarf. I found one that I thought was adorable until I found the price tag. $50 for a scarf is insane. D:

    Nice tips! I just bought a pair of boots from alloy but they’ll be on backorder until the 28th -_- So these are some awesome trends to buy while I’m waiting. :D my brother is always telling me I don’t ever acessorize (funny but true) although don’t get him to admit that around his friends.;)

    I love this! I am big into style, and always have been. Everybody says I am really unique in my styles.
    But it seems like my style is becoming popular! I’ve been wearing dark polish, scarves, boots, miniskirts paired with leggings, crazy hats and hair pins, and insane colors for a long time, but I like that “my style” is becoming popular. :D
    I think I’d like to look up this store. Forever 21? Sounds great!

    I’m not too crazy about Claire’s, their stuff is just a little too girly sometimes, but I was in Target the other day and saw some fantastic boots for great prices! Thanks for the tips!

      I agree! For example, you can’t find that much longer shorts anymore, all of them are super-short shorts! It drives me insane!

    What about clothing? You mentioned tight jeans? Does that mean the ones that cut off your circulation? Or skinny jeans? Because in all honesty, skinny jeans is really the most comfortable thing that I’ve ever worn before, that actually look good.

    Love scarves and boots…basically my fall uniform! I also always wear my beautiful silver delicate cross necklace and earrings, so that helps…I’m always looking for easy ways to look more polished every day! also, try getting a cute new jacket for fall- it will make you look more put-together no matter what else you’re wearing.

      yah, Forever 21 has a lot of really cute tops and jewelry, and I bought a really cute ‘midi’ sundress there this summer, but aside from a couple of maxi skirts, usually every other skirt there is extremely short!

    I *love* Forever 21! Also I have been using dark polish for awhile my favorite color is really dark, almost black but when you double take it is actually a deep plum it’s exquisite! :)

    I don’t believe modest is hottest…..I believe modest is actually trying to break away from the world’s image of hot. Hot is somewhat of a degrading and lustful adjective. How about modest is Beautiful? (:

      My whole “Modest is hottest” motto is saying it IS beautiful, but I say hottest because it rhymes. But it means gorgeous, classy, stunning, etc. :-)

      Whenever someone says the word “hot”… I immediately think of summer. Summer (for me) equals fun, exciting, lively, colorful, interesting, refreshing, etc etc etc. While the media has spun a sensual twist on the word “hot”, the motto “Modest is Hottest” (I believe) is referring to it in the same way as hot=summer. :) (Besides, no one wants to hang out with a cold Christian!) :)

    There is a really good book called “Secret Keeper: The Delicate Power of Modesty” by Dana Gresh. She doesn’t just give you a set of rules, she helps you UNDERSTAND why modest is hottest. Just check it out, you will not regret it!

    I LOVE Forever 21! I saw a post on Facebook where a girl wishes the store could be her entire wardrobe, and I totally agree with her!!! If I were to get a job at any store, it will definately be that one! (They’re clothes are so awesome!!!)

    I agree Forever 21 is great for cheap clothes, but some items are simply distasteful. remember to be discerning, and not just think its good just because they print a text on the bottom of their bags. just saying’.

    i love the idea of head bands and i wear them all the time but alot of my other friend have shirts that are a little low and they seem to get more people to look there way it seems how can i do that when what i wear isnt wats cool?

      it doesn’t matter what’s cool. what matters if it’s what you think that God would want you to wear, and that you’re happy with your clothes and your style. don’t try to get people to look your way by something like that. You can easily do that by just being the one and only you. :-)

    It is so hard to be modest these days while still being fashionablly cute! I really love the one shoulder look (but not where your bra straps are showing… that like guys showing off their boxers… not cool) but it can look so not-godly if not worn right (which is probably why I haven’t moved into that area yet). Why can’t the world see that “modest IS hottest”?!

    Is it ok to wear the tight jeans and low-cut shirts though? I mean, the skinny jeans I wear aren’t so tight that they threaten to cut off the circulation in my legs. They’re not really skin-tight. And I wear a lot of low-cut shirts, but I always have something else on underneath. I’m not showing anything off.

    I actually find a lot of fashion trends pretty modest lately, which I love. Fair Isle sweaters are in for winter, and moccasins have been in fashion. Also, retro chic is back, though a lot of the skirts are shorter. It’s hard for me to find something long enough because I’m very tall (five foot ten :D ), making skirts quite short on me even by today’s standards. But I am glad that there are a lot of things that are current right now that are wearable.

    I get so annoyed when girls wear shorts like look like denim underwear. Its basically just screaming “hey! look at my body!”. No one would want to be just known for their body and not their personality would they? Although I guess that’s just how some people might view them.
    And yes, i do love Forever 21 too!

      I know those are gross! I have a really amazing (might I add extremely handsome!!) guy friend and said that he hates those short because they are disgusting! We also stated talking about the fashion world one day and he said this “If I wanted to date a 12 year old boy with makeup on then I would agree with the fashion industry but I DONT!! I want to have a wife! and I don’t want her to be so skinny that I can see her ribs! Or be so ripped that she has a six pack!! That’s creepy!”

    I get so annoyed when I see girls wear shorts that look like denim underwear, I mean c’mon, seriously! I think it just screams “look at my body”. I also think that if you wear things that aren’t modest, you want people to look at you for your body not personality. Anyways, I’d go for boys basketball shorts anyday rather than denim underwear! =)

      I agree; denim shorts bug me the most! I don’t want to see anyone’s entire leg, so I only wear shorts either for sports or with some cute leggings underneath. I’ve also noticed that the variety of jeans at many stores consist of skinny cut, super-skinny cut, legging cut, sexy cut, and super-skinny-sexy cut. And then where do you find the normal cut? The mens’ section!!!!

    I wish there were more modest jean shorts. I loooooove white and blue denim shorts, but they are always sooo short. I know there are bermuda shorts but they are always made to look unflatterting.

    Forever 21 makes the CUTEST clothes. I bought a skirt there, and even though it was a little short, it looks AWESOME with some modest leggings!!! Best of all, my mom loves that store. She agrees with me that the clothes are adorbs!
