I sort of thought the Olympic committee was supposed to assess stuff like this, but honestly I think it should be fine. 6. Given all of the controversy, what do you think about the Olympics being held in Russia? well, i think it needs to have it’s turn and other countries need to leave it alone, I recently finished the book A Passion for Victory by Benson Bobbrick, it’s all about the history of the Olympics. The Olympics are supposed to be a time for the countries to reunite NOT argue. The gay people who went to Russia knew they were risking their lives so it’s their fault. During the Holocaust, a coach would not allow two Jewish people to attend the Olympics that year for their safety and that’s the best decision to make.

    1. What’s your favorite Winter Olympics sport to watch? Definitely figure skating!
    2. Your least favorite? Hmmm…that’s hard. Maybe snow boarding? I only like the half pipe. The slope style can get old- but only because I am usually waiting on the figure skating to start!:)
    3. Are you excited to watch any one athlete in particular? Gracie Gold! She’s such an amazing figure skater. Her name is also very fitting.
    4. Are you rooting solely for the U.S., or do you and/or your family cheer on another country? I am US all the way. But if US is not in a particular competition, I am likely to root for Australia or Canada.
    5. Which summer event do you miss while the Winter Olympics are happening? Gymnastics
    6. Given all of the controversy, what do you think about the Olympics being held in Russia? Regardless of all the issues, I think the way they set up the Olympic Park seems very safe. It also is very beautiful. I think it is nice that Russia gets a chance to hold the Olympics again since the last one they held was boycotted by many countries.
    7. Where would you love to see an Olympic Games held? Boston!
    8. Do you watch any events with your family or friends, or do you just catch them on your own? Both! I LOVE the Olympics. They truly bring everyone together. Whether you a republican or a democrat, you can still agree on one thing: GO TEAM USA!
    9. Will you be watching the opening ceremony? Oh yes. I am so excited! Ballet will be in it!
    10. If you could compete in any one Winter Olympics event, what would you choose and why? Figure skating hands down. I am a preprofessional ballerina so it would help me in that regard.
