The Before and After Files #4

This is the same dress as you saw in my “before and after” from last week, but you’ll see something revealing in the shot here: The waspish waist the photographer created with a little Photoshop magic.
The ironic thing is: I think my waist looked pretty good in the “before” shot! Goes to show that even though something may look fine for your own expectations, the media creates something almost entirely unrealistic to aspire to.

Seriously! I have experimented photoshoping me and my friends and its sickening what you can do just by shading and erasing! My B.F.F, who is already fairly slim, turned out looking horrid. My dad saw the pictures and said, ‘That’s just gross! A woman needs meat on her! Delete those!’ It’s sad how we tweek people to our liking nowadays.
Hi Nicole! You look amazing, as usual, although I personally wouldn’t have let myself be photographed in a dress that revealing. One guideline I have for myself is that necklines can’t be any lower than four sideways fingers below the collarbone, and if it is, I wear a cami or tank top underneath-I learned it from an awesome program called “Pure Fashion”! Check it out if you have time!!
I agree totally!
Okay I have to agree that maybe there is a bit much cleavage but she is a model…they pick out stuff for her to wear. I don’t think she picked it out, but really I don’t think the dress is that bad. She is a grown woman! Just saying what I think.
A grown woman? Not the point. All girls should be modest. Thanks Nicole
Yes.

Nicole, you look gorgeous, and I would buy this dress in a second!! I’m getting tired of hearing all of these judgements on modesty. She is a grown woman, and can wear what she wants. When you all grow up, you can decide if this type of dress is right for you. I find nothing wrong with wearing something that fits your shape nicely. Love it Nicole!
It does look nice, but we must remember that what we wear can lead our Christian brothers astray.
Check out 1 Corinthians 8:13
Sorry hon but there is a problem with the attitude “i can do whatever i want and wear whatever i want” God want’s us to be modest. It does not matter if someone looks cute, showing cleavage and such is immodest and there is nothing wrong with telling someone they are showing to much. It seems society is caring less and less about how people live their lives even when its the wrong lifestyle. Any sane person will step in and say ” Hey girl your pants are falling off, or your shirts a little low cut and we don’t want guys looking at you in that way” You seem tired of hearing about modesty because you feel that showing your body is okay. AllisonGrace i think you need to read and understand why modesty is a good thing for everyone.
1 Timothy 2:9 says: Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls and costly attire. The dress may fit nicely but there is nothing wrong with covering up the cleavage.
It’s crazy how society wants so much out of just us people. Everyone’s perfect just the way they are, we don’t need to be shown what our flaws are.
Everyone is perfect just the way they are? It seems you think that everyone life is right just because they are happy. Being happy about who they are does not mean its right
I like the dress in the second photo better, but you look a lot healthier in the first shot!
Your arms are also much thinner…that’s just ridiculous.
Dumb media and other stuff who push the mentality of the so called idea “beauty.” God made every girl to be beautiful in His eyes. True beauty is a lady that seeks Jesus and being an example to her surroundings.
