Written by Project Inspired | September 23, 2014
Fall is here and that can only mean one thing: boots season! Warm and cozy, boots are awesome because they look great with nearly any outfit and ensure that your toes will be protected and comfortable all fall and winter long. Don’t get us wrong—we all miss the breathability of flip-flops as the winter months stretch on, but at the beginning of this new season, we’re all about the change of pace!
If you’ve got the money saved, it’s great to invest in a solid pair of classic boots that you’ll be able to wear for several years. But if you’re not in a position to do that, you can also score some affordable and trendy boots that will get you through at least one year of cold weather! We went on the lookout for eight reasonably priced and cute boots that will keep you warm and in style. Who’s ready to go shoe shopping?
Psst: Check out our roundup from last year for even more inspiration!
These suede and faux-leather ankle boots will be your closet staple! (Old Navy, $35)
A super fresh take on the classic black ankle boots are these wrapped belt shorties, which have been a total trend over the last year! (Target, $35)
Make twice the statement! Keep the flaps up on these brown boots and create a classic combat boot or fold them down to instantly have a more playful and fun ankle boot with an inner-flap design. Side buttons and a full-length back zipper keep your look in place. (Target, $35)
A classic black boot with a touch of a heel and a fun flair (quilted!) in the back. (Forever 21, $35)
We’re not calling $40 cheap, per se, but that is a pretty great deal on a pair of tall boots. And we found the best options at Target! These black and brown riding boots will match tons of your outfits, helping you get the most bang for your buck. (Target, $40)
The moccasin trend doesn’t seem to be going away, as the fringed boots show up every season in tons of stores. Must be because they’re comfy and look great with another fall staple: plaid button-ups! (Wet Seal, $30)
Another favorite from the tall section at Target are these gray mid-calf boots with distinctive ankle straps and stylish design details. (Target, $40)
UGG boots are super expensive, but there’s a reason why they’re so popular. They’re warm, comfortable and perfect for winter lounging. Snag your own knockoffs for much less and keep those toes warm! (Old Navy, $35)
