Vote the Bible and Pray!

PI readers, whether or not you’re eligible to vote, today’s election is important and we need to be aware and in prayer. Even if you cannot vote, you can do something just as significant or even more powerful…you can pray.

You may say, “Well, I don’t really understand politics, the issues of our nation and other contributing factors influencing the election.” This may be true, but that has the potential for change. All you need to do is observe the policies of the two candidates, pray, and ask God to show you who should be in leadership.

Many people get caught up in controversies and other distracting elements of an election, but it comes down to two words: VOTE BIBLE. I realized this while watching Pastor John Hagee on TBN when I was studying God’s Word. I did not hear a specific opinion on who we should vote for, but more of a declaration of truth and an inspiring perspective that is simple and worthy of sharing. There is even a “Vote The Bible” t-shirt you can order!

In this crucial time in our nation’s history it is imperative that as Americans we put into practice our right to vote. We need to stand up for the principles found in God’s Word, our Biblical convictions…Let’s get back to our Judeo-Christian roots and celebrate once again the Christian precepts that our forefathers held so dearly when America was formed. This cotton t-shirt proudly displays three very important words for this election season and every election going forward…VOTE THE BIBLE! Get one for yourself or as a gift, and let the world know that you are willing to stand for what is right! (John Hagee Ministries)

God is not confused, nor does He operate in confusion. It is quite simple: Our nation is under God and has fallen away from the roots of our founding Fathers. We see tragedy in the way that our financial system has crashed, misrepresentation of how we are to other countries, and we need a Christ-centered revival in this country! We need to stand up for godliness and righteousness because if we don’t, who will? There is a famous quote that says, “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”

The most helpful thing you can do is pray for protection for our country, wisdom for our leaders, safety for the troops, and for a spiritual awakening in our country. Pray that people will humble themselves and repent.

God loves you so much, and loves the world, and does not want us to fall away from Him or be ashamed of Him! It says very clearly in the Bible,

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels (Luke 9:26).

Let us pray for restoration of love, peace, kindness, purity, and Christ-centered awakening in this nation.

PI girls, if you’re eligible, are you planning to vote today? Comment below with a prayer for our country!

I got to vote for the first time yesterday! Our father, this country needs you right now. We have fallen away from you hard. Please pick us back up and let us realize that You are on the throne. When we realize this,we will put you first and this country and even the world will be a much better place to live.I do not want the future generations to have live through the same things we did and suffer because of what we did. Please keep our soliders safe because they’ve been protecting this country very well and they have been doing that for a decade. That is a long time and I know they are ready to come home. Also keep safe those who keep our cities and neighborhoods safe. Please help all those who run this country make decisions that will glorify you and not decisions for their own personal gain. I also pray that you will make a way for the homeless and the hungry because they deserve to live a good life as we do,espcially around the holidays. Lord, this country and this world needs you so very bad. We need to put you as the center of attention. Please, please, please bring peace because you are the ONLY ONE who can. In Jesus, saving, holy, loving name, amen.

Okay this is incredibly late- like almost 2 years late- but just curious as to why you voted Obama? He’s only made our economy worse (higher gas, higher taxes, terrible policies) and supports unchristian values. Not trying to insult you because everyone has a right to their own beliefs but Obama deserves to be impeached in my opinion. He practically let those 4 American men die in Benghazi, lies to the American people, intrudes on our privacy, negotiated with terrorists without congress’ consent (which is illegal) and released 5 top of the line terrorists for one of our soldiers who betrayed our country and abandoned his team. Not to mention there’s an innocent marine stuck in a Mexican prison for over 50 days but our president has done nothing to try to get him out. Obama care forces people to pay for things they don’t need or want and it is the first time that a tax is imposed on the people if they do not sign up for it… And I agree with thatweirdgirl about the whole abortion thing, why should we support a president who supports things that Jesus wouldn’t support? Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it. Sorry for my rant haha I didn’t mean for this to be offensive in any way I just really can’t stand what the guy does to our country

But he is one of the biggest abortion supporters? That is definitely against God!

I might be a little late on this- but it was clearly stated in the VP debate that Romney felt abortion was “too controversial” to change the policies. Either way, there would be abortions, and I’d rather a president that stands up for what he believes in! Plus I think that Obama will continue to turn this economy around for the better…

That’s one of the reasons why I voted for him. Pro-choice does not necessarily mean pro-abortion. In my case, it means viewing the lives of the unborn child and the mother as equals and allowing a mother to decide how to handle her own body if the child proves to be a threat to her physical, mental, or emotional health (and not guilt-tripping her into one choice or another). By this definition, I am pro-choice.
