- Drink some relaxing tea! One of my favorites is Yogi Calming tea. It helps me unwind from the day.
- Listen to classical music- Try some songs from Mozart, or ask your parents who their favorite composer is that’s soothing. Or email me for some ideas!
- Lay down and take a nap- It sounds obvious, but let yourself get some zz’s! It will help you recharge.
- Read some soothing scriptures- God cares so much about you, if you read some inspiring scriptures, it will help you feel more at ease. I like this one: 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- Watch your favorite movie! One of my favorites is Zoolander. It cracks me up!
- Put on a face mask- This is also one of my favorite things to do when I want to relax. You can also light candles for a more tranquil effect.
- Change your computer screen- Make your background a picture of a beautiful tropical scene, it will make you feel more calm.
- Organize your closet! I know this may sound odd, but when I put things in order and organize my clothes according to color, the process makes me feel productive and also eases my stress.
- Do some stretching- Lay down on the floor and bend your knees to your chest and breathe deeply. You’ll feel better and relaxed!
What are some of your tips that help you relax?

Love these tips. I’m a huge fan of tea. My favorite is Vanilla Chi!
i also find reading a book very relaxing (of course, im a total bookwork so this is an obvious) but when im trying to relax, i dont read a new series that im really into, because that would distract me from what i need to get done. instead, i reread some of my favorite parts from books that are light and funny.
theyre light and very humorous. theyre great)
(actually, i know i might be too told for them, but i use the Percy Jackson books a lot for this
You’re never too old for Percy Jackson

To relax I spend some quality time with God – whether it be worship or study or just focusing on Him

Yiruma is my favorite Classical music composer!

That’s such a good book!!
Whenever I’m stressed out, I read some scriptures in the Bible about rest. My favorite is Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” It helps me to remember that God is in control whatever what situation I am facing.

I love all of these. I do these activities all the time, especially #3. The verse in #4 is what we use for out offertory responsive reading at church. Offertory is tithes and offering.
I read allllllllll the time. If you see me somewhere without any kind of book on me, you should probably take a picture and write it on the calendar, because it is a RARE thing! I read 85 books last year!
Cole your eyes & count to 3! (Slowly.) Do this also when your frustrated!

Music is always a wonderful way to ease stress and relax! Drawing/reading is also fun. If you play an instrument, that is also a great way to relax!
The things that really relief my stress are those that actually have to do some physical work but really mentally.
Organizing things is the one thing that i really, really agree on.
I’m usually excited for Library Aide class in my school because all you really do is organize
books in certain ways and even though it’s quite some work physically, mentally it is really
relaxing because it takes my mind off something.
I listen to any kind of Christian music. Classical isn’t my thing, but acoustic guitars to me are the epitome of relaxation! I love tea and naps. Reading a good book is a really good way to relax too! This probably isn’t the best, but I eat a PB&J sandwich after school to help me feel not so hungry and cranky.
Fantastic tips thanks
If I’m REALLY stressed, I usually go on a short jog and then stretch for a long time when I finish. Listening to music always helps too! (BTW I love this website- I pin some of your articles on Pintrest sometimes and I greatly appreciate the ‘Pin It” button you have now:D) God Bless!

your tips are so true!!!! i am so relaxed!!!!!!:D
When school and life just bogs me down sometimes when I get home I eat my favorite dessert, throw on K-love on my laptop and after snacking I’ll read. This makes me feel happy, refreshed, and intellectual. Life does get hard to deal with, especially High School, but through Christ we’re equipped mentally to handle and conquer anything!
