Miracle Story: Young Model, Fashion Editor Hit By Propeller and Survives

Lauren Scruggs, a 23-year-old model and editor of Lolo magazine, was struck by the propeller of a private airplane on Saturday, December 3. Scruggs also was once an intern and stylist for “Gossip Girl.” She had taken a private airplane in Dallas to see the Christmas lights.
At night right after she got off the plane, she went back to thank the pilot. She didn’t realize how close she was to the propeller because it was moving so fast and was hard to see.
The model … walked into the propeller slicing her face and shoulder and nearly severing her left hand. She has undergone reconstructive surgery after her hand was amputated and is now in stable condition in Parkland Hospital.
Scruggs miraculously survived this horrific event and she is already out of the Intensive Care Unit. Scruggs is to undergo brain surgery as well, according to ABC News. Her parents are so thankful she is alive and they are praying for her every day.
Her dad, Jeff Scruggs said:
Obviously she’s had a lot of trauma to her head, and she lost her left hand and her left eye is questionable. We’re praying she’ll regain her sight.
PI girls, please let us pray for this young girl! My heart goes out to her and her family. It says in the Bible that when someone is suffering, to bear each other’s burdens.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).
Please continue praying for her.

Wow… I thought I was going through a tough time, and I thought (God led me to) PI. I read this… I am so grateful for what He has given me; things could be so much worse! I’ll be praying for her!

Lord,heal her body in the name of Jesus. Also heal her mental pain and her families mental pain. In Jesu name,amen.

that is so sad, mostly since she will probably lose her modeling job because of scars, oh wait, just about all modeling agencies and magazines and such use photoshop

My parents know her mom and dad. We all go to the same church and my mom works with her parents in their ministry. She has a very strong in the faith family. and is a believer herself

By the way, ‘Gossip Girl’ is a terrible show, it just teaches girls how to be promiscuous and shallow. In one commercial for it I saw, a girl said to her friend: “A hot lifeguard is like a Kleenex tissue: you use them once, then throw it away.” (and it included pieces of a steamy sex scene) Now is that good advice at all for a teenage girl? I don’t think so (that show annoys me so much, I refuse to watch even one minute of it).

God doesn’t let anything wrong happen 2 us because he protects us…Maybe God wanted to change her or make her know God’s Love….anyway, I’ll definitely pray for her n her family…
She’s not the only one who struggle’s with that. I am praying for her.
