It may have been a long day, a long week, even a long month. Ever feel like everything is coming your way all at once? Well, take a deep breath! When things are out of your control, they are always under God’s control, and He’s left you with a few encouraging words to remind you of that fact. Here are 15 Bible verses to calm you down when you’re stressed out.

1. Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

2. Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

3. Matthew 6:27: “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”

4. 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

5. Philippians 4:19: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

6. Psalm 55:22: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”

7. Galatians 6:9: “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

8. Isaiah 41:13: “For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.'”

9. Deuteronomy 31:8: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

10. Jeremiah 17:7: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”

11. Isaiah 40:31: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

12. Isaiah 26:3: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

13. 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

14. Proverbs 12:25: “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.”

15. John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Wow! How many more words do we need to get into our heads that God has us? He has you!

Wish we could turn back time,
    To the good old days,
When our mamas sang us to sleep,
    But now we’re stressed out.
