We live in an age where everything is airbrushed, heavily made up and “perfected.” But in these two amazing videos, I’m touched to see the incredible bravery from people showing their true selves to the world, and I applaud them for doing this.
These videos are also a great reminder that nobody is “perfect,” and often times behind a smile is an inner struggle that each person might be facing.
Let’s use these videos as a lesson to show us that we are all made uniquely perfect and to be grateful for all we have, even our so-called “flaws.” I love you girls!
What do you think of these videos, girls?
I watch Cassandra’s videos sometimes and what her grandfather said to her is just heartbreaking, but I can relate to it unfortunately.
And Cheri’s story is awesome. I know a girl like her that goes to my church.
Hey Sydney! lol I was reading the comments and I was like hey!!! I know her haha :p see ya around blog 😉
Their awesome to tell their story!
these are so sad at times! i can relate to both. i still struggle a lot with overvaluing my appearance and i used to have an ed. also i totally get what it’s like to not look like you “should” for your race. on my first day at a new high school the teacher asked which student was the one from my country and when i put my hand up she told me i didn’t look like it and was very rude about it (all the kids from overseas were at our own table too). Back home i struggled with not looking the same as everyone else too but now i know that neither my appearance or nationality are important now. I’m going to get a new body that will last forever and God doesn’t want me wasting time and hurting myself to “fix” this one because he made me the way i am for a reason. And even the most powerful nations crumble and fall but God’s kingdom is everlasting! My identity is now found in Christ my Lord and Saviour 😀
I’ve already seen these, but I LOVE seeing them. It’s really inspiring to be true to yourself and to others. 🙂
Awesome.
