Meet this week’s “20 Questions” answerer, PI Girl Lilian!
PI Username: Lilian121
City of residence: Chicago
Birthday: December 1st
Favorite color: Purple, I love how bright and happy purple is! In my new house my whole room will be purple!
Favorite song: “See You Again,” by Carrie Underwood. For me it is a song about my two grandmas who recently died. But this song cheers me up when I miss them because I know I will see them again in heaven. The ultimate reuniting!
Favorite movie: Much Ado About Nothing! I love Shakespeare plays and movies! Also Emma Thompson is one of my favorite actresses!
Favorite subject or hobby: Music! I love to sing and play the flute! Not only am I involved with band and choir at school, I am part of worship team with my youth group! Music is a great way to bring glory to God!
Beach or city? Beach for sure! I live in Chicago and I love it! But it gets really busy and loud, it makes me miss the ocean and the sun!
Sun or snow? Sun! It gets cold and snowy in Chicago during the Winter and REALLY hot during the summer! Chicago just can’t make up it’s mind! But I love the sun much more than the snow.
Sweet or salty? Sweet! I love cupcakes and cookies. My favorite!
Favorite virtue: Forgiveness–willingness to overlook the transgressions made against you. These past two years I have been in a new school and some of the people made it clear that I was unwelcome. So I was a new kid and an easy target. But I have forgiven the bullies!
Favorite qualities in a friend: A kind Christian girl who can make me laugh. Someone to rejoice and weep with, and someone that I can pray with. The definition of my best friend!
Idea of happiness: Not having no problems, but being able to deal with my problems. Also being surrounded by my best friends.
Idea of misery: Growing apart from someone that you used to talk to all them time.
Most recognized characteristic: My blue eyes–I get them from my dad’s side and my grandma loves them. We always joke that my grandma bought a lot of blue eyes for our family!
Favorite teaching from the Bible: Love enemies and pray for those who persecute you! I try to remember that when dealing with bullies.
Heroes in real life: So many! My youth pastor, Pastor Elizabeth! She is such a great role-model and a great christian! My cousin Laura, who is more like a sister now that she is living with us, she is so beautiful and an amazing role model. And I can’t forget Nicole Weider!
The God-given talent you would like to be gifted with: Being able to preach and speak really well! It would for sure help me in the future!
What will you be doing in 10 years? I will be a youth pastor at my very first church! That is my calling! And I’m super excited and scared about it! I can’t wait to see what God does with me!
Personal motto! “I have diabetes, but diabetes does not have me!” I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for 5 years and that quote has helped me a lot along the crazy journey of diabetes!
