3 Easy Ways to Perk Up Your Room for Spring!

We totally sympathize with you, PI gals, if you let your room turn into a bit of a dark cave during the winter months. You know, clothes everywhere, books piled up, the general mess that tends to happen when you feel more like hibernating than cleaning!

But while it’s hard to believe since many of us are still experiencing the winter weather, spring really is right around the corner. We’ll have longer days of light, more room in our closets (it’s amazing how much space coats and sweaters take up!) and more energy to spruce things up and tackle some spring cleaning!

So in honor of spring, we searched on Pinterest to find three easy ways you can perk up your room for the warmer months ahead. Let’s get to crafting!

    GEOMETRIC SWITCH PLATE COVER

Sure, it’s a small change, but a decorative switch plate cover packs a big punch in terms of cuteness. And how often do you use the main switch in your room? Every day! Check out this video and learn how to make yours:

    CARDBOARD WALL ART

Can you guess what this adorable little 3D wall art is made out of? Drum roll, please…it’s toilet paper rolls! Weird as that is, it’s also really cool, cheap and SO easy to do. Save all those empty rolls and get the step-by-step DIY here. You can make tons of different shapes and get really creative with your design!

    PHOTO MONTAGE

If you’re anything like us, one thing you don’t mind about winter is the twinkling lights of Christmas. Luckily, you easily can keep that sweet spirit alive all year by hanging a string of white lights in your room. One great way to display them is pictured above, draped in rows on a wall next to your bed. Hang them with push pins and then get some cheap clips from the dollar store to arrange your favorite photos of family and friends between the bulbs.

Girls, which DIY is your favorite? Have you done any awesome at-home projects recently? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
