4 Tips for Perfect Holiday Hair and Makeup!

‘Tis the season for tons of holiday events! Christmas parties, candlelight services and even New Year’s Eve are right around the corner. Winter is the perfect time to try out feminine and fun looks! Here are a few holiday hair and makeup favorites. You can try them all at once or one at a time.

Sparkly eyes: To go along with all the glitz and light, try some glittery or shiny sparkles on your eyes! A little goes a long way, and make sure you have plenty of time to put your makeup on because the key is in the detailed application.

Bright lips: Bright lips are great year-round, but they’re never better than when accompanied by a Christmas color palette at a party. Any shade of red will do, but find one that doesn’t clash with your outfit and will complement your skin tone and look great in pictures! Not sure which one is for you? The people at makeup counters in the mall are usually very helpful and informed.

Shimmer: It’s easy to go overboard on shimmer, but it’s hard to resist during the holidays! Put a little on your cheekbones and collarbone, and presto!—an adorable accent for a night out.

Shiny curls: Large, loose curls are a perfect romantic look for the season and are pretty timeless. They are best achieved with a curling iron and some awesome hairspray. For all-over body, try a couple of techniques: Wrap the hair around the barrel if your hair holds curls easily, and start curling from the middle of the strand.

Which of your favorite holiday looks did we forget? Which of these will you try this year?
