5 Adorable and Affordable Valentine’s Day Looks

Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us, and while most see it as a day to pass love notes and eat candy (we like that part too!), what we really enjoy is the excuse to don girly looks in the name of fashion love! Whether adorned with hearts, unabashedly pink or just romantic in nature, we can’t get enough of these sweet ensembles. Many of your favorite stores are offering cute Valentine’s Day pieces, so we surfed the web for some affordable options.

Check out five of our favorites below, and then let us know which you like best in our poll and the comments below. Not a fan of any? No offense taken! Give us a link to something you prefer. We love to see what fashion you’re currently crushing on!

These FlipSide jeans from Target are adorable and reversible–featuring white hearts on side and the plain peach color on the inside. We think you know which ones to sport on February 14! (Target, $35)

Mint green–or pistachio– is one of our favorite colors this season. This slightly sheer top (don’t forget your cami underneath!) has tons of sweet hearts set off with little polka dots throughout. Modest and chic! (Forever 21, $18)

If a dress is what you’re after, might we suggest this sweet and simple heart print dress? We love the rounded neckline and subtle pleated details at the front waist–very feminine! (Old Navy, $28)

If you’d rather show your affection through your footwear, you might enjoy these sweetheart cutout skimmer flats. We’re obsessed with the purple, but they also come in black and Valentine’s Day red. They will look great with both jeans and dresses! (Delia’s, $20)

Willing to get into the spirit but not so into shouting it from the rooftops? We love this super comfy and simple top that says “Lover” in the middle of red heart. We also love the top’s name: “Not a Hater Top.” LOL! (ModCloth, $35)

Which Valentine's Day-themed item is your favorite?

    1. those are so cute i love the blue shirt with the black hearts the best! how can i be the hands and feet of JESUS i don’t know if i can support any groups or go across the world and there are not realy that many mean kids at my school and please don’t say that’s great that your wondering about this and stuff i am just an unworthy servant wanting to do my duty thanks!

      • I think that He is very proud of you, because you have a heart for service. I think even what may seem insignificant to you will make someone’s day, like a compliment on their outfit. Hope that helped.

    2. Um, I’m not terribly fond of any of these. Both the tops and the trousers make me think of nightclothes… Not quite sure why. he dress is alright, but not really my style. 🙁 I’m not really one for wearing hearts. Or peace signs. It’s not really that I have anything against love or peace, they’re just not my style.

    3. Well, I’m just going to give my fashion opinion here on each article of clothing.
First off, the pants. I don’t really care for the color that much, I would rather go with a more peachy color. It seems like the hearts aren’t even there, I think they’re too pale. Maybe if the color was a little stronger, and the hearts were a little darker than the pants. But I do like the idea of having it reversible, because who’s going to want to wear heart jeans all year round?
Next the mint top. I don’t really like the look of this one, it looks like it needs something else, something more. It seems very thin and blousy, so I don’t think I would like the fit of this. Usually I don’t go for that kind of clothing because the fabric doesn’t look like it would hold up very well at all.
Now for the dress. This is definatly my favorite here. I really like the fit and the red color a lot. But I think it could look too busy when you see it in person due to the black and white pattern. I think I would wear a belt around the waist the break it up a bit. I have a feeling that the sleeves could be oddly fitting, but overall the dress has a very nice, classy cut.
On to the shoes. Ok, I do not like cut out shoes at all. I’m sorry, I just never did. They look uncomfortable and like you would get snow and water and dirt on your feet. Not to mention, where I live it’s already freezing just wearing flats, but flats with holes in them? Ouch. But if you live in a warmer climate, or when its summer, go for it!
Now the gray top. It looks very comfortable for wearing around the house but I don’t thing I would go out and about the town wearing this. It just looks too baggy, not that theres anythin wrond with that though. Plus, i don’t think I want to wear a top that has a heart right by the chest saying ‘Lover’. It’s just. A bit creepy. When you think about it…

    4. Oops, I accidentally hit publish. I meant to say that this is just my opinion and nobody else has to agree with it, it’s just what i would say if we were shopping together online somewhere. Please don’t take offense to anything i said. Any of these could look great on the right person with the right body and the right coloring. I also meant to correct those spelling errors. Have a great week everyone! 🙂

    5. I love love the jeans! I have some peach ones, and I think that the hearts are sooo cute! And the best part is that they are reversible! I always think reversible clothes are the coolest thing! I love all of this stuff, and if our school didn’t have to wear uniforms I would totally try this stuff! 🙂
