5 Amazing Movies to Watch This Easter

Hey sweet PI Girls! Easter is one of my favorite holidays because it reminds me of God’s amazing love for us, His sacrifice and our worth. One of the things I enjoy doing during the Lenten season is watching Easter movies. There are lots of Easter flicks to pick from, but only a few worthy of the effort!

Following are five great Easter movies–I tried to vary the options a bit! Have you watched any of them?

The Passion of the Christ (2004)

This powerful movie relays the final hours of Jesus’ crucifixion. This is my all-time favorite Easter movie–learn why here.

Warning: This movie is rated R and is very graphic, so talk to your parents before watching it!

    Resurrection (2011)

This movie tells the story of Claudius, a Roman guard who searches for the truth after Jesus’ crucifixion. It’s based on the short story by Max Lucado.

    The Easter Experience (2009)

Adapted from the original Easter Experience episodes, this movie is a partly narrated story relaying the Passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Peter and the Last Supper (2012)

This story of Jesus is told from the Apostle Peter’s point of view while in prison. His story has a profound effect on the two jailers who listen to it.

    King of Kings (1961)

This movie tells of the life of Jesus, from His birth to His resurrection.

Ladies, what’s your favorite Easter flick and why?
