5 Beautiful Country Songs That Honor Lost Loved Ones on Memorial Day

Ladies, Memorial Day comes and goes every year (this year it’s on Monday, May 26), but do you take the time to remember what it’s really all about? Often, those who do remember are those who have lost a loved one in war. But that loved one likely lost his or her life protecting us. Memorial Day should be a day for each and every one of us to remember those who lost their lives in action, as well of those families who are now missing one, or maybe more, loved ones at home.

I pray these songs give you a moment to reflect on those loved ones. And for those who lost loved one in battle, thank you for your sacrifice. Our prayers are with you on this day and forever.

“I Drive Your Truck” – Lee Brice – (Hard 2 Love)

“Go Rest High on That Moment” – Vince Gill – (Live at the Grand Ole Opry)

“If You’re Reading This” – Tim McGraw – (Let It Go)

“Arlington” – Trace Adkins – (Songs About Me)

“Some Gave All” – Billy Ray Cyrus – (Some Gave All)

Ladies, do you know a great song that honors lost loved ones? Share it with us!

For You by Keith Urban is one of my favorites! It isn’t about lost loved ones but it is about serving in war! 🙂
