5 Christian Guys You Meet in Youth Group

One thing I noticed while growing up in the church is that there are some types of guys who are in almost every group. Laugh with me as we explore the five Christian guys you meet in youth group! For the record, I was the heartthrob (kidding!).

    1. The Acoustic Guitar Player

No youth group is complete without outstanding acoustic guitar guy. He is always there and ready to bust into a version of “Be Thou My Vision” at ANY moment.

    2. The Nice Guy

This is that super nice guy you can turn to about issues that need a male voice. He is always there to give you a hug when you need it, too.

    3. Super Sport

This guy is always down for a game of capture the flag and will school EVERYONE. He also is probably the head of FCA at his high school.

    4. Bible Brainiac

There always seems to be that one guy who just knows every scripture and every Bible Jeopardy trivia answer. He also had every patch from Awana. You are somewhat jealous of him for his Bible knowledge, but it’s all in good fun.

    5. The Heartthrob

EVERY youth group has that one guy whom every girl crushes on…am I right?!

Which type of guy did I miss? Tell me in the comments below!

    Dave Herrmann
My name is Dave, you may see me writing funny articles on PI or managing the social media accounts. My life is putting Christ first and everything else second. Life is beautiful when we smile and choose a positive attitude. God is good!

    1. The class clown. Often the Sports guy as well. At my youth group almost everyone has at least a bit of Class Clown in them, a few are sports guys, and two acoustic guys.

Everyone is a mix of these things.

    2. hahahahaha in my youth group, there’s one guy who is both the Super Sport, and the Heartthrob… And it’s true that literally EVERY girl in our youth group has had a crush on him at some point or other!!!

    3. you missed the guy who is so hyper active that he literally bounces off the walls the guy who is a total chick magnet and the guy who pretends to be a tough know it all and outdoorsman but crys or gives up when faced with a challenge. i like the thor incorprative he’s my favorite super hero. 🙂

    4. Don’t forget the funny one that’s always cracking jokes. Also, there’s that one that is just a huge kid at heart and very playful….(and a tad troublesome at times but whatevs)

    5. You totally missed the cute techie that’s at all your band practices (he runs tech!) and drama practices(someone has to shoot the videos!) Hes super involved in the church and helps out wherever he can.

    6. A guy at my youth group is all of those. Not sure if he plays guitar or not… But 100% of everything else on here describes him! There used to be two but the other one moved to Tennessee.

    7. Man, i could relate to EVERY one of this five ,like in every number i read i thought directly about one of the guys from my group. I almost said their names LOL. This is so true 😮

    8. This is so true XD I was easily able to name the guys in my youth group who fit into each category.
And I’m glad to know my youth group isn’t the only one with a bible brainiac! I thought we were the only ones. (No offence to him tho, he’s awesome)

    9. I’m one of the girl Bible brainiac!( yes,our youth group has more than one!) but you just about described every guy in youth group! I have a crush on the super sporter guy/ class clown;) he’s funny and kinda quiet sometimes.
