6 Reasons Why You Should Date the Guitar Player

Ever had a crush on a guitar player? Well, here are six not-so-scientific facts that dating a guitar player is a good idea.

    1. Learning to play guitar takes dedication and commitment. You need a guy who is dedicated and committed to you.

    2. Guitar players tend to have their focus on perfection. You were made by a perfect God.

    3. Guitar players are extremely close to one brand of guitar. He will understand your level of commitment to your lip balm.

    4. Guitar players are creative people. You need a guy who can come up with creative dates!

    5. Guitar players tend to be the leaders in the band. You need a man who leads and challenges you to move closer to God.

    6. Guitar players can come up with melodies on the fly. He could probably write you a pretty sweet song.

Now, after reading this, what will the singer of the band think?

    1. My ex boyfriend and I were in a Christian band together called Langley. They are now called Saints and Sound. I fell for him because of the things in this article and I thought he would be a great guy… 2 years later he proved to be manipulative, critical, and easily angered. He put the band before our relationship because of his perfectionism. He always wanted to write music instead of spend quality time with me and my family. He got mad at me if I didn’t want to. He ended up despising my friends because they weren’t cool enough for him and told me he had to force himself to be attracted to me because I am skinny. All of this happened later on in our relationship. Him Being a lead singer and guitar player meant nothing to me anymore because he couldn’t treat me like Christ would. So girls, pick a guy because of his character, not his talents. I am dating a great guy now who doesn’t have a lot of musical talent but he honors and respects me, and cherishes me for who I am. He doesn’t want me to be perfect, because he sees a perfect Christ in me.

    2. lol funny I have a guitar player as a friend because we are both on the worship team lol but he’s 2 and a half years younger than me and that seems to be aproblem for me i dont know why but it just is lol

    3. Well from someone who is dating a guitar player. I’m not just gonna say that they are all like this. My boyfriend does not seem to treat me special. He tells me he loves me but he never talks to me. He lives a hour and a half away from me( now you can see why never talking to him is a problem). I don’t know how to handle this situation at all.

    4. Haha, this is awesome! I’m dating the electric guitar player at my church (he also sometimes plays acoustic). We’re both on worship team. He’s so sweet and funny, and we’ve actually known each other for over ten years, but we just started dating in September. We share such a passion for music, and I love singing while he plays his guitar.

      • Oh my goodness haha this is crazy! My boyfriend plays mostly electric guitar, we’re both on worship team (I play piano and sing), we just started dating in October! We haven’t known each other for ten years but we love making playlists together and sharing our music with each other (although his music taste is super weird haha) but that’s awesome! Blessings to both of you 🙂

        • Whoa! That’s really cool. 😀 It’s so amazing to share a love for music with your boyfriend, isn’t it? We both love Muse (hence the username), and we also love 80’s rock. We know like all the words to tons of old songs, and we always sing them really loud together. (:
Thanks! Blessings to the two of you as well. (:

    5. I gotta say, my favorite part of this entire article was scrolling down and seeing Adam Young’s face!! Oh my goodness… I love that guy. Anyway, I’m personally a fan of bassists. You should write an article about them, too. 🙂

    6. On the one hand, I have had a crush on 4 maybe 5 guitar players. On the other hand, when I have been close to dating one, I have found him to be one of the biggest jerks known to man. They make alright friends.
