Our culture teaches us to have sex before marriage and to kiss whomever we date. In this generation, we see how Hollywood portrays relationships and how the envelope is constantly pushed for people to lower their standards of purity. I suggest that we raise the standard again and I challenge you to not kiss and tell. I challenge you to do the opposite of what our culture says to do. I encourage you to wait for “The One” and to let the man of God rise up and earn it.
There are other ways to bond with your significant other in the Lord. First and foremost, make sure that your significant other is a Christian. Make sure your loved one respects and honors your purity. It is wise to keep physical boundaries, and if you do show affection, a hug or holding hands is appropriate. Make sure to avoid each other’s bedrooms and alone time at night, especially.
Below is an amazing courtship video that addresses how you can bond with your loved one without crossing physical boundaries in kissing, intimacy and sex before marriage. I recommend for you to watch this video and to really pray about your love interest and if you see him as a future spouse. Honestly, my standard is that if the man is not making it clear he is pursuing me as a future wife, he should not be able to touch or kiss me, amen girls?!
PI Girls, do you agree with this video or do you think kissing is acceptable? People have varying opinions on this, and everyone has to pray about what is right for their particular relationship. Ask God what is right for you. We know, obviously, sex before marriage is fornication and is forbidden before you go to the altar before the Lord. Make sure to guard your heart, mind, body, emotions and purity.
…and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. (Mark 10:8)
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)
You are special and set apart for God. Don’t just let any man kiss you or touch you. You are a special vessel of honor for God to use for His glory, so keep your standards high.
I am praying for you, PI Girls!
