A Prayer for Those on the East Coast

Girls, as most of you undoubtedly know, Hurricane Sandy is speeding toward the East Coast and expected to make landfall this evening. We at Project Inspired wanted to offer our prayers and support to everyone who is in the path of the superstorm:

Dear Lord, we ask for Your protection for all those who are in the path of the storm. Give them strength and keep them safe in this frightening time. We pray for Your comfort and peace for those who are afraid–let them remember that You always are with us, even when times seem dark. We pray for You to let us open our hearts to those who are affected by Hurricane Sandy and give them our help in the aftermath of the storm. Finally, we pray that You please keep watch over our East Coast brothers and sisters and protect them from harm. Amen.

PI girls, please add your prayers and comments below! We love you and pray that you and your families stay safe this week!

        • Stop hoping…hope is in the future! It is a moving target. You need to know that you will survive. Just believe it- Have faith in Jesus- Don’t hope!

    1. My town, Longmeadow, Massachussetts, actually just got hit by it. Nobody was hurt, and the only sign of it now is a couple fallen tree branches. I’m lucky, but not everyone else in my area is. Thats why prayer is so important!!! 🙂

    2. Thank you so much for this! I have a lot of friends along the east coast who are getting the storm right now. a lot of their power is out and ocean city nj is flooded. we go there most summers. thank you guys for praying for the east coast! i left there a while ago, and since ive left, theyve gotten an earthquake, and now this is the second hurricane. they usually dont get things like that, but now i see why God moved me away from there. thanks again for your prayers:)

    3. I know that a lot of people have died already. 33 i think. It’s horrible! The only thing we can do is pray that God gives our brothers and sisters strength and whoever has lost someone, Lord let their hearts be healed. I know this is a scary thing to go through. Lord just keep everyone on the East Coast safe from harm and let them know that whatever happens, you are with them always! In Jesus’ name Amen!

    4. People who are been hit by this hurricane
I veBeen praying for you that you would stay safe. i really want brothers and sisters to stay safe. please be careful.
Dear God i pray thar you will keep everyone safe through this hurricane and that you would hold them in your hands.also that they will stay and that you will be with them. God help my brothers and sisters in this world.
      In Jesus name. Amen

    5. Dear God,
I wanna thank You for all the girls praying right now. Though I am not being effected I know people who are. Please keep Your loving arms around them and comfort them. Let them have faith through You. You are kind and merciful and I love You. In Your precious name. Amen.
Girls who are being effected youre in my prayers. Love, princess <3

    6. We really appreciate the prayers. A tree in our yard was leaning towards to our house. It snapped in half during one of the gusts, but the hand of God pushed it toward our garden on our ‘island’ a small island created by three small brooks. Behind our house however, in the 40+ acres, there’s a lot of damage. I live in Maine, our whole town’s internet, cable and phone was down because of a tree that had fallen on the major power lines that travel across the whole county. Obviously, we have internet now, but right in the trees behind our house is a jungle gym. Five trees were totally uprooted. All in the same area. It’s probably like, 15-20 cords of wood. Which is awesome, we’ll be able to use it to burn in our wood stove next year.
It’s too wet right now, but it’ll dry out eventually.

    7. Yes, some of my family is getting bad storms up in northern NY. But i know there are many others who are getting hit worse. I know the Lord is with them and will keep everyone safe, whether they continue in this world or in heaven for those who have died. That He will comfort the families of those that died. My thoughts are with all of them, all of you being affected!!<3
