A Tribute to Your Dad: Beautiful Song and Awesome Scripture!

Hey ladies, Father’s Day is this Sunday. And for those of you with awesome dads, I thought it would be fun to put together a tribute for them. Fathers have an amazing role to play in our lives. They are strong role models and leaders. But they’re also just so much fun, aren’t they? So here’s my tribute to the great dads out there!

First, the Skit Guys! Seriously, who says it better than them? The following clip is a wonderful culmination of the many roles that dads play in a child’s life. Enjoy!

I absolutely love this song by Trace Adkins. It’s called “Just Fishin'” and demonstrates how something as small as fishing with Dad will eventually turn into one of those amazing memories we look back on.

Scripture is clear about the role of dads as teachers and disciplinarians:

Hear, O children, a father’s instruction, be attentive, that you may gain understanding! (Proverbs 4:1)

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. (Psalms 103: 13)

Ladies, what do you have planned for your dad this Father’s Day? What do you think of these videos? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Love that song! I think my earliest memories like that was when I could barely walk standing outside holding wrenches while my dad worked on cars outside. I was always his little helper(even crawled under the cars with him)!
