Me Without Makeup

I’m proud to say that I don’t wear makeup on a day to day basis. The only time I wear makeup is when I have a band or choir concert, and that’s when I’ll wear mascara. My mom always taught me to love myself the way I am. She’s got to be one of the most confident women I have ever met. Thanks to her, I have become the strong person I am today. I feel that if I were to cover myself with makeup, no one would see the real me. Makeup is made to build confidence, but think about it, when you wipe off that makeup, you end up feeling worse than you did before. I believe every girl is beautiful. And we should all learn to love our own skin; not the makeup on our skin. We all deserve to feel beautiful and makeup shouldn’t be needed for that. The love of God is all we need.
“Right now, is the time when you’re growing up. It’s when your skin, and your young beauty is beginning to glow. Your teenage years could be the most beautiful time of your life. Why cover that up with makeup?” -My Mom
