God works in funny ways. My eyes had complications with my contacts and developed ulcers, and I could not wear contacts nor makeup for 4(!) weeks. That was incredibly difficult for me, because living in such a worldly society, it’s easy to allow innocent things such as makeup to enter, and then become a daily part of, your life. Those four weeks were definitely a learning experience, but by the time it was over, not wearing makeup had
become the norm, and was really nice. 🙂 Now I still wear the basics, but I never allow myself to lose my true face- makeup should help people see my
    face, not cover it!

    3. I look a lot like you – blue eyes, blonde hair, etc. Something similar to that also happened to me! I got an eye infection my Sophomore year of HS and couldn’t wear eye makeup or contacts for days. I felt so self-concious. Your story is really inspiring.
