Amanda Bynes: The Next Fallen Hollywood Starlet?

Actress Amanda Bynes, 26, has been making headlines recently–for all the wrong reasons.

The All That and Easy A star was arrested April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after she sideswiped a police officer’s vehicle.

This departure from the actress’s normally clean image has surprised her fans and even her family. Her father, Rick Bynes, told People magazine that his daughter “doesn’t drink.” Bynes has made it clear in the past that she’s focused on her work, not the Hollywood partying scene.

I want to be known for the work I’ve done, as opposed to where I go on Saturday nights (Bynes in 2005 at age 18).

Unfortunately, it appears she didn’t learn from her arrest. On April 12, she backed over a curb while texting behind the wheel after leaving an LA hotspot, and stopped traffic on April 15 while making a slow turn to visit a popular bar and restaurant.

Girls, whether Bynes has a problem with alcohol abuse or is just trying to make headlines to stay relevant in the Devil’s Playground, let’s pray for her strength and that she stops this dangerous behavior before she hurts herself or someone else.

Are you a fan of Amanda Bynes? What do you think about these recent events?

    Team Project Inspired
We here at Project Inspired want to guide and inspire teen girls to be true to themselves and to God. We want to show young girls how to be people of value and confidence – how to be your own best selves – through leading a Christian life. Who are we? We're a team of girls, like you. We edit the site, we post to social media, we hang out in the chat rooms and forums. We talk with you, we listen to you, and we love you!

    1. This is sad, I was really hoping she would make good choices with her fame and not one getting in trouble, when I was younger I would watch “The Amanda show” all the time because it was really funny.

    2. So sad! I used to watch her when I was little and loved her. Another fallen star. Hollywood really is the Devil’s playground! I’ll be praying for her.

You know this might sound crazy but it’s not when it’s from God.
Ok so you know about Demi Lovato? Where she went into rehab for cutting and an eating disorder?
Well I remember 2 months before this happened I had 2 dreams of Demi Lovato. The first one was she was in my room (kind of like we were friends) and she said, “Rachel! Look behind you!” and there was an angel that touched my back and I began to sing so beautifully. It seemed Demi longed for God’s touch.

My second dream was a bit more frightening but it seemed SO real! Both dreams did. That’s why I know they are from God. The second dream was I was in my room again and I was on my bed and Demi stood in front of me and she seemed scared and very depressed. Her hair was long and covered her face and she wore baggy clothing. I woke up.

I thought, weird… oh well. 2 months later she enters into rehab! Wow! I think God wanted me to pray for and I have been and still am. She was a Christian and sang in a Christian group. I forgot what it’s called but one of her very first music videos is “Move Me” and it talks about how the Holy Spirit moves her. She also sang “I can Only Imagine” when she was little. Now that she was in Disney everything fell apart.
      Keep praying for her 🙂
Sorry this is so long! I just wanted to share my experience with my sisters in Christ <3

    3. I used be be a fan back when she was on the Amanda show, but after I saw her in Easy A (Which I hated, it degrades Christians so much), I kind of decided that I probably shouldn’t look up to someone who would take up a role like that. Nevertheless, I think we all need to pray for God to but her back on the right path.

      • I think it wasn’t so much about how they were Christians, but more about how they were all actually mean people using Christianity to look like good people. There ARE Christians like that out there, but I do see what you mean, it can send the wrong message if people don’t understand it all the way.

        • me too 🙂 I think it can be sort of a wake up call for “Christians” who act like that. Emma Stone said in an interview that it had nothing to do with their religion, but it was about who they were as people.

    4. It makes me sad, my lil sis and I used to go out in the backyard and make “Funny Kids Crossing” and use Amanda Show skits. In the past she’s seemed like she knew how to stay strong, and she’s always been so funny. I’ll definitely pray for her.

    5. While it was a bad choice, we have to remember this happens to a lot of people. Maybe she’s learned from this mistake and won’t ever drink again. You never know. I highly doubt she’ll get as bad as Lindsay because of one DUI. For all we know, she just had a few glasses of wine. I’m not saying it’s okay to drink and drive, but it’s not like she’s getting drunk every night. I will be praying for her though.

    6. what? i loved her as a kid on “the amanda show” what happened to the girl i looked up to? the girl who when i was feeling down would turn on to get a laugh. i hope she rethinks herself and comes back as a good role model <3
