Analeigh Tipton Is Super Cute in Cream and We Give One Star a Makeover!

Ladies, dressing modestly allows us to feel comfortable. Not only are we comfortable with what we’re wearing, but we’re comfortable knowing that we’re dressed appropriately and not causing others to stumble. Additionally, we’re comfortable knowing that we’re dressing in a manner that’s glorifying God. Because ultimately, that’s the main reason why we strive to be modest in our attire!

With that stated, check out this week’s modest looks and share your thoughts below in the comments!

I really like the style of this dress. I love how the top is fitted and the skirt flares out. I also love how the solid black fabric contrasts with the breaks of softer white. So pretty!

Now this is such a great outfit. I’m a fan of the monochromatic look and the simple black belt is a lovely feminine touch. I also adore the length of the top, which comes down low and covers the top of the fitted pant. Adore this look!

Ming-Na Wen

The pattern of this outfit is so fun! I also love the pretty design–the straight skirt enhanced by the fun flare at the waist. It’s so feminine and perfectly modest!

Serinda Swan

Serinda Swan

While I love unique outfits, and I love the black and white contrast here, I feel that the length of this dress is just too short, making it immodest. If the dress hit the knee, it would have more of a chance at being a modest look!

Which of our three modest looks is your favorite?

Okay girlies, i Just have to point out something here…
I notice that some girls always see the “immodest dress” and say that they dont think its immodest or that they would even wear it, that theres nothing wrong with it.
But i would just like to remind you girls that when we judge the modesty of something, it is not wise to judge it based on what YOU as a female think. Many outfits that we see as cute/pretty, guys would look at it on a girl and lust. We must think from a males perspective, cuz that is who we are trying to keep from stumbling. When you judge an outfits modesty, look at it and say, could this outfit lead a guys eyes to my theighs/cleavage/butt/privates or not? That is the question.
And also, you can be fully covered, bearing no skin and still cause a guy to lust if your pants or shirt is tight enough.

I’m sorry, but I can’t read this comment and not say something. I think that the whole “Modest is Hottest” thing is awesome, but I also don’t think that you should be dressing hottest to control guys’ lust. If someone is lusting, that is something that they need to control, it’s not our responsibility as women. I’m sorry, but it’s not. You need to wear clothes for you. If modest is what makes you feel pretty and gives you self-confidence, then dress modestly. If you want to wear something that would typically be considered “immodest,” but you feel great in it, go for it! It’s not about dressing for men, it’s about dressing for yourself!

Guys are like dogs. They can hardly help it.
What if you have your boobs and your butt falling out of your dress, and some guy sees you and lusts after you so much (because he’s a dog, remember) that he goes and rapes some young girl? What if he might not have done it if he hadn’t seen you? (although there’s every chance he might have done it anyways, he might have been keeping a grip on his self control and seeing you made him lose it)
Do you really want nasty men lusting after you? Because it’s guna happen. I’m not really against tight clothes, especially when it’s cold because they keep the cold air out, but wearing a rag is so not what God would have us do! Imagine how happy it makes every modest girl’s husband that he was the first guy to get to see her body?
Plus, it attracts the wrong kind of guys, the nasty lusty ones who gawk at women’s bodies. Ending up often in broken-hearted and betrayed girls.
What if a guy is trying to overcome an addiction to porn? He’s successfully keeping himself away from it, but then he sees that immodest dresser and the pull of his addiction returns full force. What if he’s married, trying to save his marriage from divorce? Trying to convince his wife that she’s the only body he wants to see? And that girl who just has to show herself off wrecks his marriage? He’ll probably give up and fall back into his addiction now that his wife has left him.
I wish girls would think of more than just themselves when they choose what to wear.

I love the white monochromatic! Although it would be impossible to keep clean, ha ha. And Serinda’s… well, it is not awful. Too short for my taste, yes, and not exactly flattering on her, but she is gutsy to wear it. I also noticed that she’s wearing a white cami underneath, so points to her for not knocking things to a super immodest level. And also, points to Ms. Gaouette for not posting super-revealing outfits lately. I think that posting things that could go either way really makes us rethink what we believed immodest was. I wonder what it would be like if there were three definitely-modest outfits, then one that is questionable, and you just asked what our opinions are of the outfit? That way the ladies with more relaxed standards won’t feel like we’re bashing their fashion sense.

Hi guys! I haven’t been a member up until now, but I’ve seen all the controversy over the immodest outfit. I understand why they want to keep the final outfit, but we have no need to see who the person is. Wouldn’t it be possible to just blur or black out the faces of the final person? That makes it so the outfit can still be judged but eliminates most of the controversy over judging the person. Just a thought πŸ™‚

I think that Serinda swan is dressing younger then her age. And I loved the last modest dress although I could do with out the middle piece that looks like she just tied it on.

Eurydice said on the forums that your not letting her comments through anymore. Is that true guys? This is not a challenge, and I don’t mean this in a rude way. I think that it MAY be a technical problem. But if its not could you please explain or email her or something?
    Thnx πŸ™‚

Honestly, I like the last one. I mean, yes it could be longer, but over all I think it’s very creative. I would never wear it of course(not really my body type, and not my style), but I think if you adjusted it a little bit, it could be very casual, and it looks very comfortable. It looks very(for lack of a better word) beachy.

I dislike commenting on these posts, but that cream sweater is so cute! It would be really cool to find clothing items similar to the ones the celebs wear so we would be able to copy their looks easier. Is that something that could happen, T.M.? Maybe a thread or something… I don’t know. Will you look into it? πŸ™‚

I think they are more to show you some things you might want to avoid, rather then bash on the whole outfit(Which I really like). But yes, I completely agree that some of the “Modest Make-overs” do sometimes pick perfectly good dresses. But then again we all have different styles. I think the “Modest Make-overs” can also be helpful. Some of those dresses(or cat suits) are bizarre…. πŸ˜›

I love the third one the best!!! I love the colors of it! As for the immodest one, I think it would look more modest if it flattered her more. I don’t think the style of it really fit her all that well!

    The top dress is pretty.
I don’t think that Serinda’s dress is too short though. Hmm just me. πŸ™‚

Just a real quick friendly tip: I think most of the people on here like fitted dresses the best. I know that’s how I am. πŸ™‚

Oooh, likin that first one! Second one is ok, but not something that I’d choose:) The third one 0.0……. And the last one is just funny looking, really, it just has something about it that doesn’t look right…. I really like these posts ( even if I don’t agree with everything) keep it up!

    I like all of these!!!!
    1. So me. I love black and white, fit and flare, and lace! It’s not too frumpy either.
    2. ANALEIGH!!!! She’s from America’s next top model, I LOVE her. Her outfit suits her long, lean self well.
    3. Classy and unique. I might not have chosen it, but it looks lovely on her!
    4. The length doesn’t bother me, I just don’t find the dress to be flattering on her.

I think the only person there who had any class in terms of dress was Taylor Swift! Sure, her dress was low cut, but it was classy and gorgeous, and it made her look womanly, mature, and very classy! Some of the outfits made their wearers look trashy, and I know that not all of them are trashy people… no offense to anyone!

#1: Classy and well fitted! This dress is perfect! I love everything about it!
#2: Thanks for including a casual outfit! I think it is lovely, and the belt makes it feel less severe. The sideswept hair is a great look to complement the outfit!
#3: A bit wild for me, but awesome nonetheless! I love the contrasting cheetah print around the middle, it adds interest to the dress!
#4: I have seen much worse than this, but it is definitely too short. And it really is just ugly… it doesn’t fit her at all, and that weird asymetrical front just looks tacky.
