Are You Happy With the You God Created? Watch This Video for Some Inspiration!

PI Girls, do you ever feel like you’re trying to be someone else, as if you’re playing a role? Maybe you’re trying to please your friends or impress a boy? Whatever the reason, trying to be someone other than yourself can feel like you’re carrying a heavy load.

God made you a certain way, and when you accept who you are and surrender yourself to God and His plan, you’ll feel a sense of relief. You may also realize that the real you is the person you most want to be.

The real you is the person God intended, so why hide it? Why set it aside in place of someone else?

Check out the following clip showing Christian artist Laura Story discussing her song “I Can Just Be Me.”

I’ve been doing all that I can
    To hold it all together
    Piece by piece
I’ve been feeling like a failure
    Trying to be braver
    Than I could ever be
    It’s just not me

    So be my healer
    Be my comfort
    Be my peace
    ‘Cause I can be broken
    I can be needy
Lord, I need You now to be
    Be my God
So I can just be me

Ladies, God created you. Find out who that person is and find joy and peace being yourself!

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)

Are you happy with the you that God created or do you often feel as if you’re playing a role?
