Artist Christi Given Signs to Christian Record Label
Written by Christi Given | October 8, 2012
PI readers, as you may know, I’m a musician, songwriter and artist. I’m excited to announce that I recently signed to a label called Transform Music Group and am looking forward to recording my debut single, due for release in 2013!
I am really looking forward to the opportunities and the doors God has opened for me, and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Many of you know I have some current music from my original EP “Let Us Worship,” which is available on iTunes. If you have not yet heard some of my music, you can visit my official website or Myspace to stream music live. Or check out Reverb Nation, a music website where you can find musicians and listen to their music for free!
In HM Magazine, the CEO of Transform Music Group, Matt Rogers, explains the motto and the goal of the label:
Based in Nashville, Tenn., Transform Music Group, whose motto is ‘We’re not afraid to be a Christian Record Label,’ seeks artists with a unique message and strong work ethic. It aims to represent the spectrum of Contemporary Christian Music genres.
CEO Matt Rogers comments, ‘The music industry has changed over the years, and a lot of labels seem to be playing it ‘safe’ in the music that they release to the masses. Here at Transform, we strive to be different in the fact we’re not afraid to work with artists of all styles.
Q & A WITH PROJECT INSPIRED
Q: What does this mean for you as a musician and artist now that you have signed to a record label?
CG: For one, it means I get to work with some amazing musicians, songwriters and producers as well as many other team members of Transform Music Group. In addition, I get to work with others based out of Nashville. I will be traveling a lot more and will share my music beyond Los Angeles. The goal is to get my music out to as many people and souls as possible, and to bless the world with a message of hope. The team at the label will be working very hard to help make this possible.
Q: What can PI girls do to help you get your music out there?
Honestly, nothing can happen without the fans and the audience so YOU are a huge piece of the picture! YOU matter! Also, for those who are believers and followers of Christ, the biggest thing you can do is to pray for me, my ministry and that the message will be received and go forward!
Q: Where can I contact you and how can I share your music?
CG: I currently have a Vimeo music channel where you can watch my videos and find out more current music updates. I also have a website. You also can go to Transform Music Group’s Twitter to find out more about the label’s updates.
PI girls, I will keep you updated as my single progresses! Please pray for me!
