Ashton Kutcher, In-N-Out Burger and Hollywood Battle Against Human Trafficking
Written by Christi Given | February 17, 2017
On February 15, actor Ashton Kutcher spoke at Capitol Hill to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, according to CNN. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher started an online “drive tech innovation” site to help “fight child sexual exploitation” in 2009, and Ashton still runs this organization. Go to the official site at wearethorn.org.
Ashton, now the father of two children, spoke out about how he continues to fight against human trafficking and how important it is that his children and other children live in a society where they have the right to “pursue happiness” and are protected. He was very serious on the matter and passionately expressed his concerns on the issues that modern culture faces and how the government must step up and end this atrocity.
Let’s keep praying for Ashton and other celebrities, and the cause that he is fighting for. It’s really encouraging to see Ashton and Hollywood rise up and speak out about this subject! We must have faith that people in the industry will step up, and that leaders will continue to expose the darkness and bring about the love of God and justice.
In-N-Out Burger and Slave 2 Nothing
In-N-Out Burger is also standing up against the issues of human trafficking by fundraising and starting a campaign called Slave 2 Nothing. On the paper placemats that you get when you go to the drive-through, their campaign is printed on it, helping spread the word on how you can get involved and shine a light in the darkness. It’s very inspiring to see the Christian burger joint stand up for godliness and righteousness and not stay silent on such an important issue.
The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation helps educate and abolish slavery: “Across all 50 states, victims of human trafficking silently cry for help. You can help us fight this injustice and bring hope to thousands in our very own communities.”
The organization helps people to be free from trafficking and abuse and get rehabilitated. To get involved or donate, go to the official website at slave2nothing.org.
I believe that we will see freedom take place and that this horrible injustice will be abolished in our generation. Let us continue to pray, support by donating and share the news on social media, and let us as the church start speaking up about subjects even if they are not easy to talk about.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. (Proverbs 31:8)

PI Girls, although this is a dark subject, we must be aware of what is happening and pray for the lost and broken. Pray that God shines a light on human trafficking and that people may be free and healed in Jesus’ name.
