Me Without Makeup

I believe that everyone is made how they are by God, for a reason. We are God’s creation, and He made us beautiful in His image. I have struggled with acne for a long time and it has always made me self conscious of myself. I would wear three different foundations so I could get the right color and cover up everything so it was just right. Makeup was definitely something I relied on to keep me comfortable. I went on a mission trip to Costa Rica a few weeks ago, and ever since then I have not worn foundation once, and I have been accepting myself for who I really am and embracing my flaws! It’s a wonderful feeling.. and I have received more compliments! I have taken off the mask I thought I needed to wear in order to feel pretty. I have gained more confidence in doing things I really enjoy like sports and just talking to people. I think by taking off my “mask”, I have also taken away my insecurity and shyness, and left my doubt of if I look “good enough” to talk to this person behind. Take off your mask with confidence and show people how amazing God really is and how creative He is to make you exactly how He wanted you to be.
