Me Without Makeup
Written by Project Inspired | September 8, 2011
Hi, I’m Aubrey and I am 15 years old. I don’t like to wear makeup because it hides who you really are. It covers up your natural beauty. I believe that everyone is beautiful and that the world influences people into thinking that certain things are pretty and others are ugly. I’m pretty sure that the opinion of what is beautiful is different in all the places in the world and in different time periods. What is considered ugly now could be beautiful in 100 years.
I am proud to be who I am. I’m short and a little chunky. But I embrace that. I love my curves and my height, and I’m never going to listen to what everyone else says about me. God doesn’t make mistakes. I’m also proud of where I came from. I’m almost pure Celtic and no one can take that away from me.
Although I’m a sophomore in high school, I have learned to resist peer pressure and bullying. I refuse to date until I find that special person that loves every single thing about me. I will shoot for me dreams and embrace who I am and no one can stop me because I have Jesus Christ in my life.
