Prayer is like a rope that connects us to God. When we enjoy a regular prayer life – when we are spending time talking to God every day, then that rope is strong and we feel really close to God. However, when we don’t spend time talking to God – a listening for Him to talk back – every day, then our rope gets frayed and weak and it gets harder to hear God’s voice.
Sometimes I feel powerless. I see things going on around me that need to be addressed and corrected or that are just plain wrong but I don’t feel strong enough to do anything about it. I feel powerless to affect any real change. Do you ever feel like that?
This morning, I had an entirely different post in mind. Completely different topic, but I just couldn't get my thoughts together. I couldn't get the words down. It felt like I was running my head into a brick wall. I let out a frustrated sigh and turned on some worship music.
Many times we complain about things not going our way, or wish our circumstances could be better. But through the hard times, we have to remember that God never forsakes us or leaves us! A great way to remember this is to make a thankfulness list! What are you thankful for? Share with us!
