Blast From the Past: 5 Christian Sunday School Songs

We have a vast group of people who frequent Project Inspired, but for the most part, we’ve all been through Sunday school. No matter what generation you’re in, you most likely sang some of these songs. Jump into the nostalgia wagon and get these tunes stuck in your head once again! You’re welcome!

1. “I Am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N” – A song I remember singing on repeat in the car, annoying my parents. Guaranteed to be replayed over and over in your head.

2. “Standin’ in the Need of Prayer” – The hook in this song will get you humming along all day.

3. “Jesus Loves the Little Children” – Oh yes….

4. “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” – Seriously, the older you get, the more these songs get stuck in your head. Sorry, Mom and Dad!

5. “Rise and Shine (Arky, Arky)” – One kid in this video is literally owning it.

Which songs did we miss, PI Girls?

Umm…..my dad sings “Rise and Shine” every Sunday morning I don’t wake up on my own….I like it, yes, but I also can sometimes find it quite annoying.

“Jesus Loves Me” was definately a song I remember from childhood. And “King of Majesty” by Hillsong Kids. I still sing those songs. They’re timeless.

How do you miss Father Abraham? There’s The B-I-B-L-E and Jesus Loves Me. Also, many songs from Veggietales and Hillsong Kids are really good. I always used Hillsong Kids during VBS and showed videos of the moves so that they can do it with the song.

I loved that one! And our Sunday School class used to sing a verse that said “well if the devil doesn’t like it, he can sit on a tack!” haha
