Book Club: “Heaven Is for Real” Discussion Questions!

Girls, have you been enjoying Heaven Is for Real? I know I am! I can’t wait to chat about it in my live chat on Friday, December 21–but in the meantime, here are some questions for us to think about!

  1. Before you started reading this book, what was your opinion about near-death experiences and people who say that they saw Heaven? Do you know anyone who has seen or experienced something supernatural? Have you?
  2. What would you do differently now in your daily life if you had just been given a glimpse of Heaven? If it was really real to you, how would it change you?
  3. Do you like to think about Heaven, or do you to try to avoid it? Why?

Comment with your answers or any questions you have below! And if you haven’t started reading yet, don’t worry–there’s still time! You can order Heaven is for Real here or find it at local Christian bookstores, Barnes & Noble, and even at Target.

I think that if I caught a glimpse of heaven it would totally change the way I look at dying. And I enjoy thinking about heaven because I know that there are great things waiting for me 🙂 My mom know’s someone who’s dad saw heaven.

    1. Before I read Heaven Is For Real, I honestly never really thought about going to Heaven. I never personally knew anybody who’s been to Heaven.
    2. If I had seen Heaven personally, I would probably take less for granted. Although I am aware that we take a lot for granted in our lives, and I know that I’m guilty of that, too, there are probably still things I don’t think about as much.
    3. I love thinking about Heaven! After hearing what Colton Burpo had to say about it, and what Mary C. Neal wrote in To Heaven And Back, even though I didn’t see it myself, I cannot wait to get there. I know that when He’s ready to, God will send me to that beautiful place; until then, I want to live my life to its fullest here on Earth, and share God’s love with as many people as I can. Hearing how beautiful Heaven is, I have a new perspective on life. 🙂

    1. I don’t know anyone who has experienced anything like this and I thought that it is possible to go to heaven and back in neardeath experiences just strange
    2. Tell others about heaven and share God’s love with others
    3. I like to think about heaven because it’s so cool to think that God is up there creating a special place for me. Also I heard a person speak at church and in heaven we will worship and praise God everyday which is pretty AMAZING!!!!!

I think satan was beautiful…until he fell from heaven. He can still appear beautiful to us because he is the master of deceit, but in heaven, God’s kingdom, he appears exactly as he is -evil. And God is all-powerful. It is totally possible for someone to go to heaven and come back -if God wills it. God IS all powerful, right? Then it’s possible. And I believe that it happened. ^-^
