Caught Being Godly: You’ll Love This “Invite a Friend to Church” Video!

Ladies, last year I wrote a post titled, Think Church Isn’t Important? Here’s Why You’re Wrong! In it, I wrote:

Church is such an important aspect of the Christian faith. Sure, you don’t have to go to church to believe in God, and certainly the act of attending church doesn’t determine the legitimacy of a person’s faith, but there are very important reasons why we attend church and why church plays a huge part in strengthening our faith.

If you belong to a great church, you should check out the following clip. It’s a great reminder to invite some of your friends along the next time you attend! Plus, the video is super cute and funny–the first surprise comes at 00:35 (make sure to watch all the way to the end!).

Ladies, does your church help you strengthen your faith? Do you know some friends who you would like to invite to church? Have you ever invited a friend to church before? Share your stories!

    Hilarious video xD
I’m a high school senior and there has been a lot of change at my church over the last 5 years… Our pastor resigned and we went three years without a pastor before a new one arrived. He and his wife are wonderful 😀
Anyways, Pastor left in my freshmen year and took a great number of the youth and adults in the congregation with him… They couldn’t stay at the church without him. As a result of that, I was often the only teenager that showed up on Sunday mornings for Sunday School. I was the only student with two teachers for the hour long session on most weeks… This year, my senior year, has had a lot of changes!
The high school teachers changed and one is a teacher at the high school. A teen that used to attend my church absolutely loves her, so I nudged her to come back… She finally said yes after months of “Want a ride?” texts on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, often with the reply of “Sorry, too much homework”. My mom and I gave here a ride every Sunday… But she wouldn’t stay for church– only Sunday School. Then shortly after New Years, a pastor accepted our call! I started messaging past teens from my church pleading with them to come back. The only person to start attending again is the sister of the teen that my mom and I had been giving rides to… Two down, a good number more to go.
Eventually the new pastor’s wife started helping out with the Youth Group, which had died down because of short attendance. Suddenly the two girls that wanted rides on Sunday also wanted rides on YG Night! The church is finally bringing back the youth that had left with our last pastor… WOOT!!
I really appreciate having my own driver’s licence because bringing friends to church is easy when they’re comfortable with who they’re getting a ride from 🙂 Hopefully I can snag a specific atheist friend of mine to attend a single Sunday service… and then get her to keep coming! We’ll see how it all goes 🙂

I think that it’s very important to invite people to church! Sometimes they don’t always have a way to get there an just think they never will! I invite many people to my church and they usually love it! 🙂

I invited a good friend of mine and her mom to church back when I was in 4th grade, and they started coming on a regular basis. My friend gave her life to the Lord but her mom didn’t. Things have gotten really tough for them and they’ve stopped coming. Now both of them are reluctant to go and my friend says she’d do anything not to go :/

I don’t know why your friend doesn’t want to come anymore; it could be because she doesn’t want to get into another fight with her mom, or whatever… Whatever the reason is, the best thing to do first is pray for her. You should also try not to push it on her too much. Remember that only God can change her heart when it’s time. He may choose to use you in her life to bring her to Him, just like he used my best friend to bring me to Him, or He might some other way, but whatever happens is the best. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28. One of my favorite verses. Anyway, I’ll pray for you and her! 🙂
