Me Without Makeup

Hi! My name is Chelsie and I’m from Hawaii! 🙂 I’ve been reading Project Inspired for about four years so far and I must say .. this website is totally inspiring!
So a little about me.
I’m Asian. I’m Chinese, Okinawan, Korean, and Hawaiian. I think what’s so inspiring about this website is the fact that we can see so many girls from different races all over the world. I will admit, in America, being Asian can be a disadvantage because it is considered a minority. In Hollywood, there are not many Asian actresses or singers. At times I wondered even if I were to be extremely talented, if I would never make it big in Hollywood because I’m Asian. And the truth is, if I were Asian, I probably wouldn’t make it big in Hollywood. Either that, or I would be known for being Asian because I’m different.
But what I’ve learned is, I am who I am. And I am beautiful in my own way. Being a different race is awesome because I can expose people to difference. I am beautiful just the way God made me. There are so many people in this world of different skin colors and ethnic backgrounds. But just because Asian can be a minority or uncommon in Hollywood does not mean we are not special or beautiful in any way. In fact, be SPECIAL in your own way. Rock your face! Show girls that there are other people that look a different way and are of a different race. 🙂
Always remember that God defines beauty. Always remember that God made people look different for a reason. Diversity is a great thing! <3 😉
