Heaven Is for Real is out in theaters, released on April 16, 2014. The film is based on the book written by Todd Burpo, the father of toddler Colton Burpo. Colton has a brush with death and encounters heavenly visions and experiences a walkthrough of heaven in the book and film. There is battle with doubt, fear and also a light of hope in the film. There are miraculous events that occur when the father, Todd, realizes his little boy is making Biblical and personal comments that are surreal. This makes him believe his son possibly did see something special when he was near death in the hospital.
