Crystal Reed Rocks a Floral Print and We Give One Star a Makeover!

Ladies, if you’re looking for modest clothing ideas, then this post is perfect for you! But just as modest clothing examples are helpful for choosing your own modest looks, the immodest pic should help you avoid immodest outfits, too.

Often, I’m asked how short is too short for a skirt, or what’s considered too low for a neckline. Well, the immodest pic is intended to answer those questions! I pray it helps those of you who are looking for answers to those questions.

Now to this week’s selections!

Jillian Rose Reed

How cute is this dress?! I love the lemon yellow color, but more than that, I adore the loose design with pretty pleats at the front. There’s a teeny high-low effect, which is a fun touch.

Alexandra Daddario

This is such a great dress. I love how the fabric of the top contrasts with the draping skirt. It’s a very feminine dress and perfectly modest! Oh, and look…it has a high-low skirt, too!

Crystal Reed

This is such a fun dress. I love the bright color and pretty floral pattern. I also adore how the fitted top contrasts with the adorable wide skirt. Love!

Lily Collins

While the pencil skirt is the perfect length and not too tight, the rest of the outfit’s cut-out design isn’t modest! If the top of the dress wasn’t sheer, this would be a perfectly modest look.

Which of our three modest looks is your favorite?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but Lily’s dress doesn’t seem to have cut-outs. If you look closer, you will notice that the color of the “cut-outs” and and the color of her skin are different. Is there a sheer fabric in the cut-outs? I may be wrong. Please tell me if I’m mistaken!
My favorite is Crystal Reed’s dress!! It’s very wearable and adorbs! I love how it’s sleeveless.

Jillian Rose Reed’s dress is very pretty. I just thought it looked a tad short. Not that it wasn’t modest. I guess it’s more a matter of what you’re comfortable with.

Sheer? The 4th dress top is just plain not there, in many places. The concept and the line of the seams is very classical (and by this I mean ancient Greek) and pretty, but there needs to be some opaque fabric in between. Yellow one would have to be a bit longer at my house, but the color is very fun-in-the-sun. Perfect elegant simplicity on Alexandra’s – finally, an example of a little black dress that’s not *too* little! For the one I’d pick to wear, though, the floral one, all the way. Vintage. Pink. Roses. Enough said. 🙂

Okay girlies, i Just have to point out something here…
I notice that some girls always see the “immodest dress” and say that they dont think its immodest or that they would even wear it, that theres nothing wrong with it.
But i would just like to remind you girls that when we judge the modesty of something, it is not wise to judge it based on what YOU as a female think. Many outfits that we see as cute/pretty, guys would look at it on a girl and lust. We must think from a males perspective, cuz that is who we are trying to keep from stumbling. When you judge an outfits modesty, look at it and say, could this outfit lead a guys eyes to my theighs/cleavage/butt/privates or not? That is the question.
And also, you can be fully covered, bearing no skin and still cause a guy to lust if your clothes are tight enough.

1st dress..I don’t really like it, I like dresses that have a waist.
2nd dress….my favorite! I have never seen a high-low dress that was that long on the high part!
3rd….I didn’t really like that one either, the skirt looked kinda weird.
4th…..Oh Lilly Collins, what where you thinking? To me this dress isn’t flattering and it just looks kinda trashy. And her makeup and hair don’t flatter her either. :/.

Why are so many of the celebs in the pictures not smiling?? Kind of sad.
    1) I don’t really like the color yellow, but this is pretty cute! It perfectly complements her red hair. The pleats make it very sophisticated. The best accessory is her smile, of course!
    2) Very chic and classic. I normally don’t like high-low hems because I’ve seen them everywhere (I like originality!), but the hem really helps make the dress look cute. Those turquoise earrings help bring out her lovely blue eyes.
    3) Looks like she needs some coffee! I like the vintage feel of the dress. The sleeves are so cute! That dark red complements the baby blue well. My only complaint is that the dress does look a little grandma-ish, but it’s not overly hideous.
    4) I kind of like the idea behind this dress. It’s very sculptural and artsy. Only problem? It’s not very flattering at all. Not a fan of the hair or makeup either.

There’s nothing lusty or sleazy about Lily’s dress, it covers plenty and shows no cleavage, it is perfectly modest and quite artistic.

I especially love the third and second dresses. They are so modest and pretty 🙂

None of these dresses are cute at all. And the top three are not my type. The third is not flattering, modest or not, it’s not a very nice dress.
    1. Is eh.
    2. Sorta like a mother dress
    3. To little girlish for me.
    4. The skirt is not cute really, it looks like someone ripped it. Now why not some High Lows please. Can’t wait for that.

Not to be rude but in almost every of these posts the skirts and dresses are quite short. Maybe it’s just me but, I don’t know. It’s probably just me. Anyway, other than that I love the outfits!

A lot of times the skirts are too short me too. Just different standards I guess.

I guess everyone’s modesty standards are just different. Personally I’m fine with about finger tip length (since I’m tall) But other people don’t even wear dresses that hit above the knee.

O my Word!! I Love the dresses!! They are soo cute!!
But Lily Collins’ dress is not modest at all. It really sad at how many girls are being consumed with the world and wearing some really trashy stuff in order to try to get a guys attention and maybe they arn’t trying, but its gross. I also see alot of Christian girls at my church wearing some very trashy clothing. My dad said its sad how church has become more of a fashion show then a worship place for God. I don’t know if they understand that they are causing our brothers in Christ to stumble. Its really sad, and one of them happens to be a good friend of mine who has been told more then once.
There are soo many cute and modest clothing!! I don’t understand why so many girls try to get attention from a guy in the wrong way. It’s soo disgusting.

I like the first one. Flowy frocks are pretty, an she looks good in it. Second is pretty, just a little boring. Third is pretty too, I like the shape. I sort of like all of these. But none of them I would actually wear.

The disclaimer up at the top doesn’t really do much for me. If you can post 3 modest dresses, I’m pretty sure we can figure out what’s a modest length, and what’s a modest neckline.

I like all the dresses but the last one because I don’t like the material, and that cutout is unnecessary.

The first one is so pretty and perfect for summer. I love the colors and how flowing it is, it would be really comfortable in hot weather. But again, it would have to come to the knees for me to wear it! Number two is my FAVORITE! I love how well it fits her, and how it just seems to flow, from the top down! But another with the skirt just a bit too short for my taste. The last one is cute, but it doesn’t fit her well. Other than that, I LOVE it. I love florals, and this one isn’t too frumpy! That last one would be scary to wear. It looks like something could slip out at any given moment. :/
