Do You Live in One of the 10 Most Christian Cities in the U.S.?

Have you ever wondered how Christian your city actually is? Well, now you can find out! The Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies recently released a study measuring religious bodies in the U.S. The most thorough study ever done on the topic, it discloses county by county statistics on congregations, members and attendance for more than 200 different faith groups within Christianity.
So which city ranks as the #1 most Christian? According to The Huffington Post, “Of metropolitan areas with population greater than a million, the researchers found Salt Lake City to be the most Christian city with approximately 72.5 percent identifying as a Christian adherent. The researchers found the greater area of Portland, OR-WA to be the least Christian city with about 30 percent identifying as a Christian adherent.”

2. Birmingham, AL
3. Oklahoma City, OK
4. Memphis, TN
5. Pittsburg, PA
6. Providence, RI
7. Boston, MA
8. Chicago, IL
9. San Antonio, TX
10. New Orleans, LA
Looking at the map pictured above, you can see the study found that most of the cities with high numbers of Christians are in the deep South and the Midwest. The lowest numbers came from the West Coast and the Northeast.
