Faith Saver: One Man’s Act of Generosity Is a Great Lesson for Us All!

Girls, it’s one thing to give when you don’t need what you’re giving away, whether it’s money or clothing or used items. But when you give away what you need to others who you feel need it more than you do, well, that’s a kind of giving that really means a lot.

The following news story is an amazing example of giving by a man who really doesn’t have much to give.

And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, ‘Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had’ (Luke 21:1).

Ladies, this video reminds me that you can give to others in so many ways. Even if you don’t have much to offer financially, you can give your time and your friendship.

Another great lesson from this Faith Saver is that happiness is not reflected by how much we own. If we thank God for what we have, and if we truly appreciate it, then we’ll always be happy and successful.

Finally, and just as importantly, this Faith Saver reminds me that God has a plan for all of us. This amazing man believes it–do you?

Ladies, what did you learn from this week’s Faith Saver?
