Fashion: Top 5 Modest Swimdresses!
Written by Project Inspired | June 4, 2013
A couple of weeks ago, we rounded up our top five picks for modest one piece bathing suits, then returned last week with our favorite tankinis. As we said before, if you’re in the market for a new swimsuit, the trends this year are seriously in our (modest) favor!
With vintage-inspired style taking over all levels of fashion, conservative and comfortable cuts have become popular. In response, tons of brands have put out tons of great options! Swimdresses have also become increasingly popular in recent years and are the perfect option for a girl who wants to look über-feminine at the beach or pool.
We love the discussions about swimwear that have been happening on the site, and we checked out all of your comments and your favorite stores for inspiration as we scoured for great swimdresses. As usual, it was hard to narrow down the options, and we can’t wait to see what else you girls have found in the comments below.
Who loves vintage? This suit may be a little loud for some, but we’re digging the ’70s feel and neon colors! (Swim Outlet, $60)
If you’re more into classic styles than wild vintage prints, this Clean Water suit might be more up your alley. Available in six colors, the suit includes an elastic strap, boning, removable padding, partial lining and ruching. (Target, $36)
If you’re on the hunt for a swimdress with a super flouncy skirt, we may have found a contender! This ruffled suit is available in pink, green or blue (pictured) and has full body ruching with two halter options. (Amazon, $40)
Pink and polka dots–how can you go wrong? We love the girly, ’40s-esque vibe of this flouncy suit that features a conservative v-neck and boning at the waist. (Amazon, $22)
Are you into polka dots, but the idea of pink sends you running for the hills? This classic white and black polka dotted suit features a ruffled skirt and adorable tie at the chest. (Amazon, $45)
Which of these suits is your favorite? Have you gone bathing suit shopping yet, or do you have a favorite that you already own? We’d love to know where you got it and why you love it!
