    Fashion: Top 5 Pastel Purses

Last week, Christi rounded up some of the biggest spring trends making the rounds right now, including hair chalk, pointy nails and bright lipstick. What else is widely popular right now? Pastel colors. We’re seeing them on nails, in various makeup products (eyeshadows, lipsticks, etc.) and in clothing and accessories. We love the soft shades of pink, purple and mint green and how they so warmly embrace the coming spring months. Bring on the sunshine!

This week, we’ve rounded up five of our favorite inexpensive, pastel-colored bags.

If you’re into smaller purses, we suggest this pale yellow, polka dotted wristlet from Charlotte Russe. For $9, it’s quite the steal!

If pink is your favorite of the pale shades, we’re loving this cross-body messenger bag (which also comes in mint green). It’s made with a faux-leather fabric and features a double buckle design and snap flap that secures a roomy interior and extra zipper pocket. (Charlotte Russe, $27)

If you need a roomier bag, this cross-body satchel will hold everything you want to tote around. Featuring a popular mint green shade, the bag has a super soft, faux leather material with a worn look, adjustable shoulder strap, two flap pockets in front with a magnetic button closure and a spacious multi-pocket interior. (Wet Seal, $30)

One color just too plain for you? This floral printed backpack is anything but boring! Backpacks have been back in a huge way recently (first gaining major popularity in the ’90s) and are super helpful for trips to the library or to a sleepover with friends. (Delila’s, $30)

We know… more mint green. Though we tried and failed to find an inexpensive option in the other major spring color of lilac, we found tons of options in this gorgeous green hue. This oversized denim tote features faux leather straps and trim with a zipper placket at the top. Zippered pocket and two patch pockets inside with high polish hardware. (Forever 21, $30)

Which pastel bag is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share any other awesome pastel purses you’ve spotted around town or online!
