Five Fun and Inexpensive Date Ideas

Knowing how and when to save money is a good thing – one of the most important virtues to have! But it can get really uninspiring to ration out a tiny “fun” budget when it doesn’t…er…stretch very far. In case you’re out of creative ideas to live it up, here are five fun things I like to do on the cheap!

    1. Go bowling!
This is a fun and casual way to get to know a new boy without the awkward silences and expectations. Plus, it’s great exercise! I love bowling even though I’m terrible at it and always get gutter balls!

    2. Go ice skating!
I absolutely love ice skating. It’s a great way to get to know someone new, as well as picking up some pretty cool skating skills. Just make sure not to show him up right away. ☺

    3. Go putt-putt golfing!
When you engage in this type of friendly competition it helps create a bond with the boy you like. It’s a ton of fun to try and get the ball in the hole through the castle and other traps. I haven’t in a while but one of these weekends I’m going to go soon!

    4. Go see a live performance!
In the entertainment section of your local newspaper there will be musicians, concerts, and events going on you can go see for cheap and fun. I totally discovered I really like jazz music after seeing a solo artist perform in LA for free!

    5. Have a late picnic under the stars!
You can grab pizza and whatever snacks you want to eat and bring a big snuggly blanket to a beautiful park. Bring a cute sweater to pull over your head when it gets chilly! You can also bring a small, portable stereo to listen to music on. I do this on occasion with my boyfriend, and it’s romantic and an inexpensive way to enjoy a night out together. ☺
