Frozen’s “Let It Go” by Demi Lovato (Faith Version)
Written by Christi Given | May 23, 2014
This week, I’m covering the hit song from Disney’s Frozen, “Let It Go” by Demi Lovato (movie version sung by Idina Menzel), and inspiring you to listen to the song from the perspective of faith!
We need to let go of our past to go into the future of what God has planned for us. In Isaiah 43:18, it says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” This is the theme or the view of the song I’m encouraging you to think about when listening, in the sense of letting go of hurt, pain, sin and anything holding you back. I didn’t really change the lyrics except for one or two minor words.
This was a fun cover for me, as I was inspired to do my hair and makeup similar to Elsa, the main character in the Frozen film. Also, I liked doing my own version of the song with an acoustic guitar for a more raw sound.
