Project Inspired’s Girl Talk

This week, a PI girl asked if she should move out of state with her boyfriend. She said her parents don’t support it and she is not sure if she can financially afford to do it but she loves him. This is a serious decision and a big step to move out of state for this PI girl, and also is a risk for her especially since she is not engaged or married.

I definitely think that it is not wise to move out of state, without being of course over 18, and by not having her parents permission. The circumstances would be different if this anonymous PI writer was engaged and or married of course. Without a proper commitment and without financial backing it is very dangerous and risky. It is not a good situation for this young girl to be in, especially for a guy.

I would say continue to get to know your boyfriend and pray about God’s perfect will. I would advise for this PI girl to continue to seek wise council and to go to her parents and youth pastors about this life change. Moving is not easy and costs money and also leaving the state in an unfamiliar territory is not wise, especially without a significant commitment.

I would say pray and ask Jesus to order your steps. So far, I’m sure the PI girl knows the answer and knows what is best and the most wise decision. I will be praying for you PI readers to have discernment and discretion, especially when it comes to making life choices and also when it comes to relationships.

We love you PI girls and are praying for you! We are here for you as a community of believers to life you up in encouragement, wisdom, advice and for godly inspiration. Let us know if you have a prayer request by commenting below!
