UPDATE: Congratulations to PI Girl heather600387 for winning the Summer Sun Basket! Nicole loved her comment about volunteering during the summer:

Up until last summer, I thought that summer was all about going to the beach, and hanging out with friends, etc. But last year, I gave up my summer, and temporarily moved to the inner city of Saint Louis to the Joyce Meyer Dream Center, where I spent every day working and serving those around me. It was hard work! I cried and sweat more than I ever had in my entire life! haha. But, for me, it was the best summer yet! So, my advice for a great summer? Get involved! Volunteer, and put God first and foremost. Sure, you may miss some “beach time,” but God will reward you more than you would imagine!

Thanks to all the PI Girls who entered and shared their great ideas! Didn’t win this time? Enter our NEW giveaway for your chance to win a $100 iTunes gift card here!

    1. Q:What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
A:Stay Relaxed And Enjoy The Time With Your Family And Friends. And Don Not Forget To Put On Sun Screen!! And Always Spend Time On Reading The Bible Outside In The Blazing Heat With Something Cold To Drink Or Inside You Home. And Stay Cool In The Pool!

    2. What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
My tip is to spend time doing things that are meaningful! You can spend time with your grandparents, parents, or friends, you can travel somewhere, or you can volunteer. Most importantly, spend more time at church, or just in the Word of God,and PRAY! (Some people might think it sounds like a silly waste of time, but it’s truly a blessing to know that God hears your prayers.)Also, spend time doing things that aren’t stressful, because nobody wants to be stressed during the summer. Swim, go to the beach, spend time with friends, have a bonfire, go to the library. RELAX

    3. Question: What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
Answer:Spend some time with the Lord. Hang out with friends. Spread the Word of the Lord. I personally, love to swim. If you like to shop,go shopping!! Shopping is fun! And help others out when needed! And remember, put God first!! H.A.B.S!!( Have A Blessed Summer!)

    4. My tip is to get up early in the morning, and start your day with a few verses of the Bible. Last year, I slept in till 11:00 or so, and missed out on so much!! Also, wear a LOT of sunscreen, and keep reapplying it every 2 hours or so! A sunburn is NOT pleasant! =)

    5. Theres a lot of things to do to really make your break meaningful! I love making a bucket list, listing everything YOU want to do this summer …. I think going to volunteer places or donating clothes or just helping others is a great way to feel better about yourself! 🙂 also, summer is a great time to grow closer to god and just enjoying yourself whether that’s going on a walk, hanging with your family, or just having a movie marathon! Just always try to make everyday count!

    6. In order to make the summer a worthwhile and fun season, my tip consists of regular interaction with my wonderful friends, amazing family, and still extra activities, such as training in a particular sport, or attending music seminars. I think that the summer needs to be fun and relaxed, yet with enough experiences to continue to learn and shape one’s character. 🙂

    7. What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
Don’t sit through summer and watch it fly by. I limit the time I spend on the computer and watching T.V. I love summer because there are endless things you can do!! I can’t stand to see people wasting time doing things that end us up no where. Make a difference and change the world.

    8. What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
WORSHIP THE LORD! alot of poeple think that spending time with God is so lame and boring but i honestly dont get that. He is so joyous and fun! I can’t think of anything better to do than to worship and have some fellowship time 🙂

    9. Q: What is your best tip for making the most of your summer break?
A:Put God first and spend plenty of time with Him, and for the rest, be with those you love and do everything in your power to make sure everyone around you has fun. If they’re having fun, you’ll probably have fun too, and it’s a great way to make friends and be a witness for Christ. God bless!

    10. I think to make the most out of your summer break is spending time with family and friends and making memories that will last forever. For instance this summer my family and I are going to go to herseys park because we’ve never been and we want to spend time together and make memories. Also exercise and put sunscreen on!!!! That way you stay fit and healthy. 🙂

    11. What is my best tip for making the best of your summer break? Plan it out! The enormous amount of time and freedom that comes with summer break can be overwhelming if you dive in without a plan! Your plan should follow a main goal. For an example, If your plan is to get in shape, decide how much you will exercise everyday in advance. If your goal is to become more active in your community, call your local soup kitchen,or homeless shelter, and get going! “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”:)!

    12. My tip for making the most of your summer? Get up earlier! (and go to bed earlier so you get enough sleep :P) You’ll definitely get a whole lot more out of your summer by not wasting the day away in bed! Another awesome thing about getting up early is getting to see the sunrise! Last time I was at Myrtle Beach, I went to see the sun rise over the beach and it was GORGEOUS! Probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! You should totally do it if you go to the beach this summer! 🙂

    13. My tip for the summer has 3 parts to it. First, sleep, sleep, sleep. We all know that during the school we don’t get enough sleep, because of homework, chores, and having to get up early, so get enough sleep this summer. Second, hang out with friends and family as much as possible. Have fun with them, especially your family, yes they can get very annoying at times but they will always be by your side. Third, read your Bible, try to read at least 1 chapter of your Bible a day. Also, with that meet with your youth group during the summer and talk about the word of God with them, ask questions, pray, and most of all love each other and God. 🙂

    14. My tip is that if you wish to make the best out of your summer is to pursue God with all of your heart and try to find out what he wishes for you. Another thing is to grow closer to uplifting friends, and to stay cute! We are all cute and adorable if we are modest(remember modest is ALWAYS hottest!). Have a great summer!

    15. Your summer break can be so much more than just a time for yourself. Relaxing, recovering from a busy school year, and having fun are all very good parts of the summer and the summer break is a gift from the Lord to help us to regain energy and strength. However, our summers are not just for our personal gain. In order to make the most of the summer, we as Christ’s daughters should dedicate and offer our free time to Him. For some, this may look like answering His call to go on a mission trip or to serve the outcast or poor in their community. For others, it takes the form of simply learning how to glorify the Lord more in all that they do – whether hanging out at the beach with friends or learning to have good and purposeful conversations that glorify the Lord more! We must no longer view our summers as a time to just chill and do nothing – a time-in-between in which nothing purposeful can be accomplished. Instead, we should try to use this time to get better at doing all things for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31)!

    16. The best way to make the most of summer break is simple. Make sure that even though you get caught up with vacations and fun activities through the summer, you don’t forget to spend that personal time with God every day. I promise, it will make your summer (and the rest of your life!) so much better! <3

And that's my tip 🙂 Thanks Nicole and the PI staff! 😀

    17. my tip is to have fun! Hang out with friends; stay close to God; be with family. But, most importantly, make every moment a memory! Memories are the best thing (besides salvation), so make the most memories of the best summer!

    18. The tip I have for you girls is to spend LOTS of time with God and be productive! 🙂 To make that time you spend with God special, you must remember who he is; The King of Kings and your savior!!♥♥♥ So don’t just read the Bible and pray, but also value that time and put it into action throughout the summer! Also, if you’ve made any plans don’t just wait for them to happen. If you want to get fit, get up early and use your time wisely ☼. If you want to get better at playing an instrument, practice♪♫. In other words, if you want to make an accomplishment, GO FOR IT!! ☺ And just remember to be safe, modest, and happy and enjoy your summer to the fullest while it lasts! God bless you! ♀

    19. In order to make summer amazing, you’ve got to get up and do something. Try and plan a family vacation to somewhere everyone will enjoy. While you’re at home, make a point to play outside, invite friends over, and go new places. Try making cool crafts or DIY projects with the materials found around your house or go to the thrift store and pick up random things. Summer is a time when you can explore all of the activities you wish you could do during the school year. But, don’t forget to put aside some time to spend with God! 😀

    20. My tips for a good summer:
Let your inner JESUS shine through.Spend more time getting to know God. It will be a blessing! Spend time bonding with people from church that you never really talked to before, it will create a better christian church family:)
Also, hang out with your friends, family, try new things, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Find Gods beauty in everything:)

Find Gods beauty in everything!

    22. First, make sure you stay active!! It’s too easy to just waste time on a TV inside when God’s glorious creation is all around us. Hiking, swimming, and running are great ways to get outside and spend time with friends or family, Which leads to the next one: summer is a great chance to invest some time in relationships, so seize it! And lastly, try to get out, participate in camps or in your community. You never know the different ways it can bless you!

    23. Use your freedom from school and homework to take the opportunity to try something new. Be it reading a new book or going to a new place with your family and/or friends or anything else you can think of!

    24. Q: What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break? A: Don’t forget your family. It can be a blast hanging out with friends, but spending time with your family is essential!

    25. Q. What’s your best tip for making the most of your summer break?

      A. Sleep in a tent, even if its just in your backyard. Go a a nature walk and take in all of gods wonderful creations. take loots of pictures and create a album.

    26. Summer is the best time to reach out to your community. Talk with your pastor and friends about starting up a special summer youth program because if you are board i bet other teenagers are too. If you don’t like to lead, just as stores get more works over the summer, community outreach place need more help. weather it is sing and playing at the nursing home, helping feed dogs, or volunteering at your local boys and girls club everyone needs help and you have the time and energy to do it. don’t be afraid let God use your gifts.

    27. The best tip that i could give for making the most out of your summer is to just go crazy. Crazy in a good way, go to the beach with your closest friends, have bonfires with the family, start changes in your community, take chances. Heck we dont have to worry about school work (for the most part, summer hw can wait awhile haha) so just be free. All that pressure of being a straight A student is off of your shoulders so just go crazy. Dance like nobody’s watching you and sing like you have no care in the world. And dont forget to read the bible and pray. God put you here to have the freedom to go crazy and just make the most out of this beautiful life here on Earth so don’t forget to thank him every night. Or even thank Him right after a nice dinner with the family, swimming in the lake with the closest people to you, or even shooting hoops with your siblings.
Make a change in your life and in another persons life.

    28. My tip is to stay away from the tv and make the most out of every day. Be creative! Read books, play with siblings, get some exercise, decorate your room, maybe even plan a super fun sleep-over with friends or go camping:) But remember to relax.

    29. This Summer, I’m starting a mentoring business. This helps me to remember to continue my education and bettering myself.
I think that to make the most out of Summer, you have to remember that you shouldn’t let yourself neglect your academics, just because you don’t have school to keep you accountable.

    30. Summer is the time to figure stuff out, without the worries of school. Try out a new style of clothing, new food, new philosophies…the list is never-ending. Use the time to your advantage because summer is quick. Don’t forget summer is also a good time to read the Word of God and draw near to Him as you prepare yourself for the next year of school. (:
