Glam For God: 10 Chic Winter Looks!
Written by Christi Given | December 13, 2014
Fall and winter are, for me, such a fun time to dress up in winter coats, scarves and knee-high boots! I love the festivity of the winter season, with the holidays, Christmas parties, church events and, of course, Christmas Day and New Year’s! What are YOUR favorite fashion trends? Check out some of mine below!
Look #1 is a classic winter coat: LOVE this camel-colored coat. It is so chic and effortlessly fashionable! Would you wear this?
Look #2 is a fun, sparkly hair accessory: You can add a headband, clip or hair accessory to spruce up any hairdo! It is so glamorous, easy and festive! This is perfect for any holiday party!
Look #3 is a pair of knee-high, sleek black boots: I just love boots, even when it’s not cold out! I think boots are so cute and add to any outfit, whether a dress or jeans! Boots were made for walkin’!
Look #4 is a scarf to make your outfit scarfalicious: I know I made up this word, but seriously, add a scarf to your outfit and voilà!—you are ready for the cold weather in style. Pictured below is what they call a “blanket scarf.” Too cozy, eh?
Look #5 is a leather jacket: I’m still a fan of the leather look this season. It still works! It dresses up a casual outfit while remaining trendy and comfortable. Pair it with a winter scarf!
Look #6 is a combination of comfy loungewear: Relaxing at home with a movie and hot chocolate? Or having a girls’ night in? Here are some cute looks for those more cozy times.
Look #7 is a long pleated skirt with a sweater: This fabulous, chic look is best for those warmer winter days…if they exist where you live. In California we can have some sunny winter days, ironically, but of course you can always pair this outfit with tights if it’s freezing. Beauty is pain? Love this look, and her heels!
Look #8 is—of course—a sparkly holiday dress: You know Nicole and I love to dress up, especially for special events. Since you will be celebrating Christmas and other holiday events, it would be nice to dress for the occasion, if possible. Here are a few holiday looks from Teen Vogue this month.
Look #9 is a chunky statement necklace: I am a jewelry lover, whether costume or real, as long as it’s cute, to be honest. These thick sparkly necklaces add to your look and make a difference when trying to make your casual attire suddenly more upscale.
Look #10 is a felt floppy hat: This look is so simple and adds such style in seconds. Having a bad hair day or waiting to get your roots redone? Hats to the rescue! Yes, the oversized hats are still trending. Hashtag #FLOPPYHATS.
PI Girls, remember that fashion is just for fun, so don’t get too caught up in outer beauty rather than INNER beauty!
