Glam For God: Christi Shares 10 Hot Fashion Summer Trends!

PI Girls, welcome to the new “Glam For God” section that Nicole started for modest fashion! I’m going to be contributing to this forum monthly. I hope to give you helpful, inspirational and useful modest fashion tips! Feel free to comment below or ask me any questions! Look #1: Big summer hats

A hat is a fun way to spruce up your look and stay out of the sun. It’s very trendy, “hip” and overall a great accessory to your outfit. It really adds a cute touch to your fashion style!

Look #2: Stripes and high-waisted shorts with a tucked-in blouse

These cute shorts are not only modest, but also super fashionable! They have adorable buttons, and the striped “nautical” look is always suitable for summer!

Look #3: Jean button-ups over dresses (patterns, solids, bright colors)

A jean button-up can seem plain, but paired with a cute dress, it can be a light long sleeve if you have an outing where you might feel cold or want something to cover up. Plus, jeans are super cute! Always a staple item!

Look #4: Fringe, fringe, fringe!

With the musical festivities that have taken place, we have seen the hippie look come back, with the fringe style that is reminiscent of days in the 1970s. Fringe on your sandals, purses or cute shirts works this season!

Look #5: Embellished or bejeweled tops, jeans and dresses!

Anything with a jewel always adds a little sparkle! Well, this summer, jewels and embellishment designs are in! Shine on!!

Look #6: Slide sandals

These thick-strapped sandals are in…do you like them? Yes or no? Comment below with your opinion!

Look #7: Leather skirts, pants, jackets and shorts!

I personally LOVE leather jackets and have some pleather pants that are super cute! Obviously, if you choose to wear shorts or a skirt, make sure it isn’t too short because you don’t want it to look tacky or immodest.

Look #8: Visors

Visor hats are “in” this summer, whether solids or patterns. Would you wear one?

Look #9: Choker necklaces

The 1990s trend of chokers is back this season, according to Teen Vogue. Do you like wearing jewelry?

Look #10: Rompers (solids or patterns)

Pictured here, Taylor Swift rocks a cute romper (similar to a jumper), which is trending this summer.

I love rompers, I have 2 that I really like. Also, the side sandals are pretty cute, but not my favorite.

I like the choker necklaces and the big hat. I have a cute hat I bought recently that’s cute and floppy. I like fringe on a long skinny purse as well. Not really a fan of visors even though the bejeweled ones are a nice touch. Why do most of the pics feature women in short ,tight body con dresses? The romper and shorts are way too short, I could never wear them. Slid sandals not really my style. The jean button up is cute, love it.

I would not wear a visor. I have to wear one for work at McDonalds, but outside of that, no way! Most of these styles I would wear, except the visors and chokers. I like to be classy, but those two trends seem to be tacky.

I don’t like the sandals or visors. But I love all the other tips.

Love everything apart from the sandals, leather and visors.
