God Sends a Guardian Angel to Save This Drowning Boy!

Ladies, do you believe in guardian angels? I do. I believe that God assigns a guardian angel to each of us. Each angel has the job of protecting and guiding and helping us daily. They’re sent to do God’s will and often reveal themselves to us whenever we call out to God in moments of distress.

This week I have an awesome story about a boy who was saved by a guardian angel. I think it’s a beautiful Caught Being Godly moment and I hope you agree.

Before you check it out, let me just say that I love this story for a couple of reasons. One is because it’s this amazingly dramatic story that demonstrates how God will answer a desperate prayer. It’s also because it’s about a young man who’s literally drowning, yet all of us who have had moments in which we feel like we’re metaphorically drowning will be able to relate. And finally, it reminds us that all we have to do is call out to our God. He is there waiting for every opportunity to save us.

Check out the video and share your thoughts below.

God’s faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. (Psalm 91:4-6, 11-12)

    1. Ok, I don’t doubt that it was an angel, but I don’t think this has anything to do with “guardian” angels. I believe that God sends angels to help us, but there is no biblical evidence that every single person has an individual angel. In the Bible, there are seraphim and cherubim. There are those who fight for God’s kingdom and those who worship God. (that’s a condensed version, I’ll have to re-read to find the full) There is nothing there about an individual guardian angel. Besides, it’s God who protects us, even if an angel helps, ultimately, its all God.
